I just got the DHL package from Colombia. I want to mail the I-129F out today... but I may not have time. If I mail it out tomorrow will I be covered for the $170 dollar fee?

Hi TTownfire,

Hi and welcome to VJ!! Hope you enjoy the site. You will find very good information here...but it is worth exactly what you are paying for it. Mostly it is good advice and given to help you and others here. But, remember it is not legal advice...only opinions from people on here. That said....my advice is:

1) Fill out your timeline so you can help us to track your progress in real time. I see you just signed up recently so maybe this is on your "to do" list. The timelines help everyone to get a grasp on where you are and to answer your questions accurately.

2) Today is the 26th...tomorrow is the 27th. IF I were you, I'd attach the $170.00 check dated for the 27th and send it on its way. You package should be postmarked tomorrow...so what is the worst that can happen? They send you a note and ask for a little more money. Not a big deal!

Good Luck on your Visa Journey!!!

Sincerely,

Thanks! Whhhhewww. I'll have it ready first thing for the morning. Should I send it FedEx or Regular USPS Express?

I have to change a few things on the cover letter and put it all together = Nice and Neat. I'm a bit spastic because she is pregnant and I wanted this thing filed a month ago... I apologize if I was rude.

I'll fill out all of the "timeline" stuff when I have the proper time to devote to it.

Either way to mail it, but be sure to get confirmation. The addresses are different for FedEx & USPS as well.

Thank you - The address for FedEX is the street number on the site 2nd floor yada, yada and the USPS is the PO box, correct?

Also, some supporting documents I.e. letter of intent have the USCIS address as the PO box... can I mail these even though I sent the package to the street address?

Thank you Devil, thank you so much!!!

aww, shucks. No one ever thanks me. (For real tho) You're welcome!

And yes, your addys are correct. I trust FedEx more, myself. No worries about the addresses on intent either.

Good luck!

You are fine...just be sure to us USPS and not FEDEX or DHL. Probably a good idea to send it priority or get a receipt of mailing.

When we sent ours USPS, via the tracking number you will see that they sign for it. That will provide you with proof that they received it.

Bro,

Send it however you want...UPS, FED EX, DHL, USPS. The carrier dont mean squat. The important thing is to make sure you have a confirmation receipt and or tracking #, so you know they received and signed for your package.
