Examples of what everyone has used that was a approved proof of residency?

My husband born and raised in the US. Never lived anywhere else. I am Canadian (permenant resident) We will have his official high school transcripts. I’ve read letter from employer and SS report? Bills? Bank statements of purchases made in states? Only internet is in his name. We’re both on things like car insurance. He didn’t go to college and doesn’t go to the doctor so no medical history. No rental history. House is in my name. We are having a baby via surrogacy out of country to give reason for CRBA questions 😊

My consulate took my 5 year college diploma as record and ignored other docs at interview. But I suppose you can use high school reports & transcripts and/or employment docs-- remember there is proof of physical presence, and proof of residency. Tax transcripts were high on the list, as well as social security records.

Generally, being thorough will bring ease of mind. The online app seems to require thoroughness with evidence for each residence/ physical US period.

If you are missing documents, you can always locate and schedule emergency appointment to correct. Better thorough the 1st time, I feel.
