Don't have any first hand knowledge of this, but I do know spouses of USCs on military orders can expedite the naturalization process which would take care of any issues related to abandonment of LPR status.  Here are some links that may be helpful.

Good Luck!

I have a CR1 visa and will be traveling to the US with my spouse but we will only stay for about two weeks. My spouse have orders abroad they cannot amend his order to have included. Also not command sponsored. What are my options not to have the green card abandoned?

Where would you be living if you are not on your spouse's orders?

Best bet would be to apply for the 2 year re-entry permit.

I believe active military on duty with family allowance can keep their LPR status overseas as if they are in the States.  Contact your military liaison/ombudsman.

Thank you for sharing. Problem is I am not on his orders because he was single when he left and we were told his orders cannot be amended.

Reentry permit gives you two years from its date of issuance when you can remain outside the US but not be seen as abandoning your LPR status.   Apply as soon as you arrive in the US, do not leave until you have 2 things in hand ..

1. notice of receipt of the I131 application

2. either completed biometrics for the application OR more likely see on your USCIS account that your existing biometrics are being used and have been applied

Request on the I131 application for your reentry permit to be sent  to the US consulate in the country where you will be with your husband

Remember to pay your green card fee before arriving .. get your SSN the next day, and use a safe reliable family or friends address as your address in the US so your green card is delivered safely. Return to the US before 12 months is up .. using your temporary green card ( the CBP officer when you enter will stamp and endorse the visa in your passport and it is then your temporary GC for 12 months). Pick up your actual GC then leave again

Then as @Lil bear stated, the best method is to apply for the re-entry permit.
