Different DQ dates for family members

We have four cases at NVC (CR1, IR2 x 3) -- three of the cases (my spouse and two of my stepkids) were DQ'd on April 26. The fourth (my other stepkid) was just DQ'd yesterday, May 26.

Will NVC continue keep them all together for the interview scheduling, despite their different DQ dates?

Contact both NVC and the Consulate. Ask for them all to be interviewed together....just in case.  Give them names, case numbers, etc.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Good idea. Just sent a public inquiry to NVC and an email to the consulate. Thanks!

Yep.  Never assume USCIS will use logic or research.

I contacted NVC, and this is the response I got:

To Whom it Concerns:

Your inquiry contains requests involving multiple petitions.  In order to protect the privacy of all visa applicants, the National Visa Center will respond to one case per inquiry.

Please resubmit your inquiry with only one case per email.

Hmmm... how can I only reference one case per email if I'm requesting that all four be interviewed together?

I would resend it again referencing all 4.  Sounds like someone at NVC is just lazy.

My case is similar to yours but even more complex, My family and I live in Seoul, South Korea and my wife and step children are Colombian. The CR1, IR2 x2 all DQ'd on different dates. Two of the cases requested RFI's but in the end was DQ'. All the interview dates was scheduled at the same time. I will say it took two weeks after DQ till I got the interview notification in my email.

Good luck

Hello, did you have to file separate I-130's and I-864's on all of them? If so, how was the family size computed for them? Thanks

Hello, did you have to file separate I-130's and I-864's on all of them? If so, how was the family size computed for them on page 4, step 5, 1-8? Did you have to submit this on all of the step-children? What about supporting evidence?

Thanks for any advice!

I did file a separate I-130 for each person but the I-864 applied to all once I submitted on the NVC site since the applications are linked to each other.

For the evidence I just submitted it the same for each person. My first attempt resulted in RFI's which caused me to submit more than enough evidence and I just mirrored all the applications the same for evidence which resulted in DQ's.

Yes, I filed four (4) separate I-130s for each of them in the USCIS stage. When we proceeded to NVC, I also uploaded a separate I-864 for each of them.

In Part 5, this is how the household was calculated:

Part 5: Sponsor's Household Size - for my SPOUSE

1. Person you are sponsoring in this affidavit - 1

2. Yourself - 1

4. Dependent children - 3

Household size - 5

Part 5: Sponsor's Household Size - for each of my STEPCHILDREN

1. Person you are sponsoring in this affidavit - 1

2. Yourself - 1

3. Currently married - 1

4. Dependent children - 2

Household size - 5

I used the same supporting financial documents for each stepchild, but each stepchild (each IR-2 application) has their own NVC case number and Invoice ID number, so you have to upload all supporting financial documents for each stepchild separately.

Thank you so much for answering my questions in detail. I really appreciate it!
