Hello, my mother filled a petition for me some years ago, i had to fill the IV application and affidavit two years ago but was not until today that i finished the process.

My priority date is 02-NOV-2015

Preference Category: F2B

VISA CLASS:         F24

I am a confused with the visa bulletin

in  this link

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-june-2023.html

one chart says that the current priority date is 22 SEPT 15

and the following chart, below, says that 01 JAN 17

I cant not understand the difference between those charts

Also... the USCIS page says that now i have to wait for the NVC to review the case and then to schedule an appointment.

how long does it takes for the NVC to review the case? and then how long for the interview?

Hi!

i have a priority date of 02-NOV-2015 for a F2B category

and one of the bulletin says that the priority date is 01JAN17 for that category.

(i just filled the IV application and the AOS a week ago)

You go off of the first chart (2015 date). The difference is that chart A dictates when visas can be issued, this is the chart you will base your PD on and the wait for the interview. Chart B is when you can start to submit documents to NVC but you won’t be able to get a visa issued until that date on chart A. This is also used for applicants in the US (which isn’t applicable to you).

Thanks for the response, then, i am just fine taking into account my info?

And how long or what is next after submitting the IV application and the AOS?

Your question isn't clear. What's next will depend on where you are and what process you are following, I thought you were outside the US but now you're talking about AOS?

It also stands for affidavit of support

It’s hard to answer your question. Depends on how backed up the consulate is, something you’ll have to research. Also, your PD isn’t current yet so there’s that

yes, but an estimate on what is next is appreciate, (i am in Dominican Republic)

after i submit the AOS and IV Form i receive a notification that now i have to wait for the interview, how long is that wait, 5 months, 5 years...?  my priority date is Nov 2015, and the current one is 22 Sept 2015, how long USUALLY (usually guys, i am not asking for scientific exact dates).

Those process, the order is almost the same, times vary a little (similar cases) so is not that space science difficult answer required. For someone who already has gone thru this process or know about it usually knows what thing follow the other thing...

You've now given the info that people needed to help you (which consulate you'll be interviewing at). There are some consulates where applicants only have to wait a couple of months once their documents are accepted, others have a 2 year queue for an interview. So no, there is no 'how long USUALLY', as it really varies.

But for the DR, this thread will give you an idea, seems like it'll be around 5 months or so (possibly a bit longer as your visa category won't be prioritised, unlike CR1's) once you're DQ'ed.

Good luck.

It’s IMPOSSIBLE to tell when exactly your PD will become current. There’s no point talking about DQ and AOS or interview letter when your visa number is not even available. Until that happens, your case can’t move forward. Have a look at previous visa bulletins and see how much the dates have moved:

June 2022: F2B date was 15 SEP 2015

June 2023: F2B date is still 15 SEP 2015.

As you see it hasn’t even moved a day in one year.

Who knows when your PD of 2 NOV 2015 will become current.

Buddy, remember i asked for an average, an approximate.

i needed to know if it is two weeks or two decade, you assumed i know what to expect and thought i was asking exact dates.

But thanks anyway, now i know it is between 5 months and two years, that helps, to have an idea..

That is the info about time i needed,

NOW about the process,  visa interview is the next thing right? and after that, what?

Thank you in advance.
