George Lucas is wearing a Han Shot First t-shirt.

Is that the sound of the universe opening a tear and sucking itself into a horrible infinite loop? It might be. The rest of the photo, for the record, shows Lucas talking to Harrison Ford who is in Indy garb. Which, I grant you is even funnier in some ways.

Isn't that the ultimate irony - after he changed the original shot for the '97 special edition, he then had ILM tweak it for the 2004 DVD release so it looks not quite as, but still pretty naff.

ehem...in the original Star Wars, Han Solo shot Greedo through the bar table. Lucas later decided to make it look like Han Solo did it in self defense by editing the movie, thus changing it from its original theatrical release. Now he's wearing a T-Shirt that was made in protest of that change.

Well they did release it last year I think as a double-disc with the special edition - just it was literally the original version, unmastered video transfer and no 5 channel sound.

I got a chance to see it on laser disc years ago. That's what I'm hoping for, only on DVD format.

Ford was never supposed to have been cast in that role - they were auditioning the likes of Kurt Russell, Burt Reynolds and Christopher Walken.
