I’m new to this site and tried to find the information I’m seeking.  I’m applying to bring my husband over to the USA (I-130)  I am a born citizen here in the USA.   I have carefully assembled the petition packet and I know it’s thorough.   My site is in Nebraska.  What am I looking at for a timeline from approval to interview?  I’m so afraid to even ask this.  Thanks

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

What consulate?  According to other VJ members, the average is 642 days (about 22 months) from filing to interview:

you do not know what office site will work on vis

if u put a Nebraska where it asks for USCIS office , it needs the country he lives in when the interview is scheduled  not US office

putting  a US  office is for those doing AOS after a K1 marriage and are here in the US

it is over $500 to correct this error if the petition is sent in

The Nebraska office is where I mail my packet.  This is why I mentioned it.

No, you do not mail it to the Nebraska Service Center.  I suggest you file the I-130 online.

It’s the mailing address on the USCIS site for the state of MN.

I don't know what you are looking at, but it is not the initial mailing address for an I-130.

As I said, I suggest you file the I-130 online.

The immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money.  VJ has great guides to help with the knowledge part of the process.

Welcome to the forum.  For the best answers, I'd suggest you fill out your timeline: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=449621

I'd suggest you become an astute student, starting with this thread for the process:

The guestimate of 2 years is likely pretty accurate as long as you have filed all paperwork correctly and do not receive a RFE.  I would agree with Crazy Cat and file your petition online.  I would review what you've already put together because if you still insist on mailing the petition, it actually goes to IL, not NE as you'd suggested.  https://www.uscis.gov/i-130-addresses

NO NO NO!  Do NOT mail your packet to any service center.  Please for the love of pete, READ the instructions that accompany all of the forms.

A typical case would take around two years, but mistakes like that can add significant time and money to the process.

Please post a link to this.

Petitions do not get mailed to service centers.  They get mailed to lockboxes, where they are dispatched to the service centers based on USCIS algorithms/metrics (i.e., not based on petitioner's state of residence).

Like others are suggesting, you are much better off filing online.  Please read and research as much as you can about the entire process; it could save you wasted time and money.

Don't pay attention to the first USCIS location. We received an IOE number with Nebraska as the USCIS center... (at the time Nebraska had a timeline of 6 months).

After 6 or so months we discovered our case was actually at Vermont - processing time - 14 months.

The advice I was given when we filed our petition was to expect the I-130 to take 12 months - if it was quicker - happiness! If slower - have more patience.

But, expect the entire process from filing I-130 to interview to be at 24 months. If it happens before you'll be pleasantly surprised...

Which consulate will your partner interview at.... that could extend the 24 months to longer. Then be happy because they will enter on an IR1 visa and you will avoid the dreaded ROC...
