I have some trouble believing this. Even having 1/3rd the US population, there are many murders in Russia. What type of crime are we talking about? 8 times as many crimes reported in the US I can believe. Do you have source for this?

Also, the police in Russia are notorious for having incomplete reports. From a weekly crime report, 3 days will just be "missing" for "technical" reasons (every week).
