I love it when I get up before dawn to get my dad all the way over to a doctor's appointment in time, and then the doctor (well... the PA...) doesn't even know what he's doing there for.

 

I don't love it when the sword wielding scary guy I've noted for many many many months on the street corner (I won't say begging.. because his sign is not asking for money.. I can't say protesting either because the sign is gibberish.. but I'd absolutely say he is a danger to others) and warned the police about, actually did pop off over the weekend and go into local businesses threatening people while naked. If only they like took it seriously before. 

 

My husband tells me his friend is getting a divorce. Was quite a shock. I feel for the guy and I feel for their kids. But he also tells me the situation and I think these two people need serious counselling (she has huge baggage that needs therapy she can't expect her husband to fix). Unfortunately she's the one requesting the divorce, wants pretty much everything, and is demanding to just use one attorney - hers. So both my husband and his friend asked what I thought. I thought it was a terrible idea, recommended the friend find some representation, because it sounds as if he continues to let her dictate all terms of divorce in this way she will clean him out. He's made some mistakes that I don't think any reasonable woman would find that objectionable, but this breakdown is in no way his fault. His way to be amicable without really agreeing to the divorce in the first place, is to let her have what she wants because he still loves her. I've had some female friends get themselves into serious issues in this way when their relationships failed, this is the first time I've seen a guy follow this pattern. Not sure he's going to take my advice. But what can you do?

I came up with the name of an attorney who supposedly is very good. I won't say he's junkyard though, as I'm not sure this young father is looking to be nasty. What he needs is guidance and protection. I just don't think he's going to listen to us though. Perhaps I need to suggest that if his wife will not seek therapy, that he needs to talk to someone himself, for his own mental health.

 

You know I asked my dad what he thought of that appointment today, and it suddenly occurred to us that the flow of the conversation with the PA was so odd and he seemed so confused to the point we both believe he was actually hungover.

Did not leave casa except for skool runs, no man.

 

Awful weather, uff man -- monsoons, wind, tornado watches man.

We wonder whether a Tornado watch is more expensive than a Rolex watch, wonder we man.

 

Lunch was onecan of Aldi chili, ingest we man.

 

Din-din was bagged salad + the rest of the Costco egg rolls*, ingest Two Guys man.

     *refrigerated for Many (2+2+2 or 2x2x2) weeks but still edible, waste not want not man

 

Mini-B. opted for computer-gaming rather than movie night, oh well man.

 

Party with the rubias after Mini-B. embedded, cavort we man.

 

Must skool-drop Mini-B. early on Tuesday so can chauffeur Mama T-B. to a doc appointment, shuttle service we man.

Will be harangued about every other "to-do" item on Mama T-B.'s list,  man.

Barely got Mini-B. to skool, drag-footing wee man man.

Had to skip morning shower to retrieve Mama T-B.,  man.

Doc appointment went uneventfully, a plus man.

Breakfast (!) was scrambled (powdered) eggs* in hospital cafeteria, ingest we man.

     *on Mama T-B.'s credit card with permission, financially savvy we man

 

At casa, did much administrative work, successful Business Typhoon** we man.

     **in the POTS industry, buy your POTS today man

Skipped lunch, q.v. breakfast above man.

Got siesta, zzz uninterrupted by phone calls man.

 

Retrieved hungry-cranky Mini-B. from skool, cranky wee man man.

Din-din was onecan*** of corn + air-fried Korean chicken from Costco, ingest Two Guys man.

     ***not frozen/nuked, unnoticed by play-gaming wee man man

 

Mini-B. computer-gamed for a long time, intense wee man man.

Later, movie night involved several episodes of Young Sheldon, watch Two Guys man.

Many (2+2) bowls of Costco popcorn were consumed, ingest Two Guys man.

 

Weekly rainwater newspaper included only anemic BK coupons, better than naught but  man.

Exhausted Mini-B. zzz-ing, out-wiped wee man man.

Party with the rubias imminent, cavort we man.

 

Probably have to take the Mama-T-B.-mobile for annual inspection & oil change,  man.

Both we and Mama T-B. recognize that she'll probably never drive again, frail senior she man.

And Mama T-B. needs to renew her driver's license,  man.

If we drank, we'd need a double or Manyple,  man.

Lunch was toucans of chicken noodle soup, ingest we man.

Ran errands thereafter, industrious we man.

Got our hairs cut, this is the shorn truth man.

Briefly siesta'd after all was done, zzz we man.

 

Mini-B. aysheep upon skool pickup, aysheep wee man.

Highly upset about some teasing in last class of day, great timing man.

Teasing apparently involved us, accusations about we man to wee man man.

Mini-B. blamed us for this teasing, how can such accusations be believed man.

At casa, ran upstairs to room and slammed door, isolated wee man.

Wouldn't talk to us or accept options for din-din, no man.

Called ex-Mrs.-T-B. to "come get me," escape wee man man.

 

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. left cross-town office in peak traffic, highly delayed ex-she man.

Convinced Mini-B. to select din-din, beef pot pies ingest Two Guys man.

Mini-B. then went to room again, isolated wee man.

 

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. arrived, finally man.

Full caucus occurred, diagnose and dissect man.

Convinced Mini-B. that he shouldn't believe everything he hears, si and no man.

Gave some childhood examples, attentive wee man.

 

Upon up-wrapping of caucus, Mini-B. was offered chance to stay or go, choose wee man man.

Mini-B.'s computer-gaming amigo couldn't join for Many (2x2x2x2 +2+2) minutes, unavailable man.

Mini-B. chose to play basketball on back patio, we and ex-Mrs.-T-B. invited to join man.

Everything after that was positive, relief man.

We are very lucky that ex-Mrs.-T-B. and we collaborate so well in rear-childing crises, si man.

 

Party with the rubias in hot progress, cavort we man.

Errands for Mama T-B. tomorrow, must do we man.

Shall also compile initial GS/ES itinerary, whee man.

This was Mini-B.'s non-Two-Guys eve, fortunate man.

 

Went to Mama T-B.'s, necessary man.

Not one visitor parking space within half a mile,  and park under tree we man (see below man).

 

Took the Mama-T-B.-mobile to repair shop for these items, see man:

       1.  state inspection, si man

       2.  oil change, si man

Got these plus these others, found on inspection man:

       Many.  flush/replace brake fluid, stop man

       Many.  replace cabin air filter, breathe man

 

We spent nearly Many hours in the shop, boring even with good magazines man.

Total cost to Mama T-B. was $Many, precisely man.

 

By now it was nearly 1 p.m., half the day blown man.

Stopped at dry-cleaner for 2 shirts that we'd left there earlier, on the route man.

The charge was $Many -- si man, $Many -- outrageous man.

The illegitimate male children had dry-cleaned the shirts instead of laundering them,  man.

 

Went to first legacy supermarket for Many (2+1) items for which Mama T-B. had coupons, si man.

Place didn't have one item,  man.

We hate this supermarket,  man.

Available ones were perishable, so decided to go to other market later, oh well man,

Bought the Mama-T-B.-mobile's annual registration sticker, not a totally wasted trip man.

Off-peeled old sticker and on-pasted new one, just enough fingernail for the job man.

 

Went to Walmart for Many more items, specific Mama T-B. instructions man.

They were out of the key item, of course man.

Got substitute item, big mistake man.

We hate Walmart,  man.

 

Got sick of driving filthy Mama-T-B.-mobile, out in elements for many weeks man.

Went through car-warsh, not a bad idea but should have done so initially man.

The warsh cost $Many, bought on Mama T-B.'s card without permission man.

 

Went to other branch of legacy supermarket, very near Mama T-B.'s place man.

Out-of-stock item out of stock there, too,  man.

Found others, some solace man.

 

By now, we were starving, sweaty, wind-blown with dust, and in foul temper,  man.

Called Mama T-B. and warned her not to give us trouble, not responsible for our response man.

 

Delivered stuff, finally man.

Mama T-B. rather restrained regarding substitute Walmart item, good thing man.

 

Returned to where we'd parked the T-B.-mobile, out-of-sorts already we man.

We discovered that birds had pooped ALL OVER IT,     man.

Lost another half an hour at mobbed car-warsh,    man.

 

Returned to casa, about time man.

Treated/lunched demanding miu, where were you all day Daddy man.

Tore into footlong Walmart sub sandwich bought yesterday, ravenous we man.

This was breakfast/lunch/din-din, at half-past Many p.m. man.

Fortunately didn't have to de-skool Mini-B., not tonight man.

Siesta'd like an illegitimate male child, and tried to over-zzz that man.

 

Later in eve, Mama T-B. called, si man.

Had tried to look for "real" item on Amazon, no success senior she man.

Even Walmart's website "unavailable/out of stock," too bad man.

Tried to explain what was happening, refuse-to-understand senior she man.

We finally promised to look in any Walmarts that we happened to pass by on Friday,  man.

 

Mini-B. returned in good mood, at least one thing positive today man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. had another pipe burst before the upcoming deep-freeze, katy bar the door man.

Going to try to get Mini-B. to bed on time, playing mini-hoop now wee man.

 

We have a splitting headache, too soon before bedtime for proper HSM man.

We have itineraried Many (2+2) ESs for Friday, reasonably logical pattern and fairly close man.

We hope for no more demands until we recover from today,  man.
