Scintillating Tuesday repartee, yawn man.

-------

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

Had to return things to Many (2+1) stores and run Many (2+1) other quick errands, involved we man.

Lunch was the footlong hot dog + Pepsi at Costco, ingest we man.

Mama T-B. doing less well than yesterday, sigh man.

Also completely aysheep about everything, sigh man.

We had to measure the height of our bed & Mini-B.'s bed from floor to top of mattress, measure we man.

We then had to measure the heights from floor to bottom of bed frame, measure we man.

We then had to take various internal measurements, measure we man.

(Answers to all above were "Many inches," si man.)

We then had to listen to Mama T-B. catastrophize about the pending shortening of her bed, si man.

Mama T-B. catastrophizing about ordering compression stockings, Many choices man.

Finally ordered those + anti-skid shoe pads, si man.

Mama T-B. super-frustrated about inabilities to perform simple things independently, sigh man.

We shall go help her on Wednesday, help senior she man we man.

In skool pickup line, Mini-B. begged to go to park to play football with amigos, plea wee man man.

We agreed, si man.

Mini-B. insisted that we sit in the T-B.-mobile the entire time, embarrassed wee man about we man man.

After an hour + nightfall, we texted him to come back, ignore we man wee man.

After 2 more tries, we got out of T-B.-mobile to holler for him, last resort man.

Mini-B. furious and insolent, impermissible man.

Mini-B. then left skool bag in the T-B.-mobile, nose buried in phone man.

We tapped horn at him, get attention man.

He cursed at us for not rolling down the window to shout at him, impermissible man.

In the casa, we told him that he is never to speak to either parent that way, no man.

We told him that we'd determine his punishment soon, si man.

Din-din was Many (2x2x2 +2) mini-chicken egg rolls from Costco, ingest Two Guys man.

Mini-B. calmer after eating, always grouchy when hungry wee man man.

He partially apologized, that's something man.

We will suspend his phone for less time than we'd envisioned, probably man.

Must arise quite literally at o'dark-Many to get Mini-B. to early band practice, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Therefore, no party with the rubias tonight, zzz before rubias man.

Thrilling Wednesday report, see man:

Had to lurch from bed an hour early to get Mini-B. to band practice, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Made some calls on behalf of Mama T-B., intense man.

Went to Mama T-B.'s to do several casa-hold tasks, aysheep senior she man.

Mama T-B. wouldn't let either of us eat until all tasks were done, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

We were feeling poorly already, incipient cold man.

Right when lunch was allowed, phone rang from earlier call, return man.

Dealt with that for half an hour, egad man.

Finally got to eat at 1 p.m., first of day man.

Lunch was half of Mama T-B.'s Walmart sub*, ingest we man.

*too salty for Mama T-B.'s swollen legs, conclude senior she man.

Was exhausted to begin with, out-wiped we man.

Returned to casa with a cold, oh great man.

Serviced miu, took HSM**, and lay down for siesta, hopeful we man.

**see abbreviation list on p. 1, q.v. man

Sure enough, phone rang in middle of it, ignore we man.

Neighbor's lawn service kicked in right after that, deafening man.

Don't people realize that Some Of Us need siestas, huh man?

Consequent to phone message, had to do something crucial on behalf of Mama T-B., do it we man.

No downtime before retrieving Mini-B. from skool, no man.

Din-din was nuked elbow macaroni + Italian meatballs, ingest Two Guys man.

After din-din, had to go to ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s so Mini-B. could try on band-concert outfit, :ranting: man.

We concluded long ago that Band takes up far too much time/effort/$, conclude we man.

Now back at casa, we are contemplating which and how much bedtime HSM to take, contemplative we man.

Thursday will be equally hectic, no respite man.

We need zzz, si to zzz we man.

Happy to report that we went to a yard sale last weekend.  It was in our neighborhood so MrChancy agreed to go.

There's been a positive development since my last report -- MrChancy offered to drive me to yard sales that are not in our neighborhood!  I'm still in shock.  He said going to yard sales is not as bad as he thought, "better than going to a root canal." 😆

My loot from 2 weekends of YS/GS/ES-hopping --

  • porcelain dessert plates (set of 9) - 50 cents per piece
  • etched glass plate - $1.50
  • earmuffs - 50 cents
  • scarf - 50 cents
  • 2 blouses - $1 each
  • 2 t-shirts - 50 cents each
  • t-shirt dress - $1
  • cocktail dress - $1

I still haven't gotten over how little I paid for them, and without any haggling.  Especially the cocktail dress.  Needless to say, I'm very pleased.

Thrilling Thursday report, see man:

We took precisely Many (2 Manyzen + 1) -- si man, Many (2 Manyzen +1) -- bedtime vitamins, HSMs, and nutraceuticals to nuke our cold, pop-pilling we man.

It worked only partially, feel lousy we man.

We did not drip snot onto the pillow, boon man.

Not until morning did we cough until we almost passed out, syncopal cough man.

We will do the same tonight, cough drip phlegmatic we man.

The boon with this cold is that we are sneezing a lot, great way to expel lung-phlegm man.

We wish that we knew ways to induce sneezing beyond snorting black pepper, fervently wish we man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B., Cousin Mini-B., & Ecu handyman adjusted Mama T-B.'s bed this morning, grateful we and senior she man.

Of course, the bedspread was replaced wrongly, so we had to drop everything for an emergency adjustment visit, aysheep senior she man.

We also performed minor tasks for Mama T-B., compliant we man.

Spent under an hour there, amazing efficiency we man.

Before the above, lunch was a Walmart sub, fortuitously bought on markdown on last sale day, financially savvy we man.

We then dished the warsher, good midweek move man.

Returned to casa for crucial siesta, sick we man.

Roaring in driveway and multiple texts awoke us precisely halfway through, :ranting: man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. had retrieved Mini-B.'s wayward textbook, finally available man.

The Rojo had driven her in his Rojomobile, monster truck man.

Will we ever get an uninterrupted siesta, huh man?

Din-din was nuked-in-the-bag corn + air-fried fish sticks from Costco, ingest Two Guys man.

Mini-B. "working" for Many (2+1) hours now on one missing assignment, si and :bonk: and :ranting: and :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

We think that he sneaks breaks on his phone, ready to soak the infernal thing in the toilet we man.

And, he will forget to turn the paper in tomorrow, bet almost anything we man.

Up to Many (2+2) ESs and a Manyfamily GS are itineraried for tomorrow, depending on health and Mama T-B. man.

No party with the rubias tonight, conserve our energy man.

Need to do final Thanksgiving prep this weekend.

Parents (from Florida, though they're driving around NorCal for a few days before coming down here), sister (from Colorado), her husband, and her kids are coming for Thanksgiving. Sister's kids kind of getting bored with Florida, so she's out here to see me for the first time since before she was married (and her oldest kid is a teenager somehow, so that's been many years).

Fortunately, my sister's family will be at a hotel, not staying here; this place isn't that big :D. Staying where they just need to walk through the church parking lot to get here, good since parking near casa-DaveAndAnastasia is extremely limited.

Have already acquired frozen turkey breast (since four people are vegetarians, mini-Dave is a preschooler, and my parents are old, we don't really need a lot of turkey). Also got some new furniture including a kitchen table that 9 people could reasonably sit around (at least if three of them are kids and the extra leaf is in).

This weekend, will acquire stuff for pumpkin cheesecake (one cheesecake can serve 9; one pie cannot; PRG is very concerned about space in the fridge therefore wants to minimize leftovers; untraditional but understandable since due to various diets Thanksgiving dinner will be the only major meal we're cooking for everyone) and cranberries (real cranberries, not cranberry glop). Intention is for mama-Dave and anyone else who wants to make anything to make another grocery run on Wednesday.

Parents arriving late Monday; gave them garage door app permissions, we'd normally be asleep by the time they get here even if they teleported from the plane to their rental car. They get to spend Tuesday on their own; we still have to work, and mini-Dave all day would tire them out. Sister's family arriving too late to meet for dinner Tuesday, they'll come by afterwards for a bit, I think.

Also finally started new job two weeks ago, gainfully employed again, si man.

This week has been nuts: Three days devoted to medical appointments for my parents (two more next week as well), followed by a trip to the clinic myself.

We have been having a heck of a time finding a post office to get the husband's passport done, but it was suggested to try a different office in another town and it looks like there's some appointments finally. Of course he's wary about sending the certificate off and it kind of coincided with his DL needing renewal soon. I had to dig around to find conflicting info of how early to renew and then ended up calling for clarification. Did not want to risk sending the certificate off with the passport and not getting it back in time for the new DL. Thankfully got that all done and registered to vote too. I told him welcome to the sweet fresh hell of jury duty, but he remained enthusiastic.

Many hours of shopping for the Thanksgiving stuff was spent, and scored three free turkeys (one gets donated to the veterans hall). I then decided not to wait this year to decorate because after all the stress lately I needed something cheerful to do. So many more hours were spent getting all that done. That was followed by spending six hours grooming and bathing the dog, because it's a whole process with him, and I'm doing it myself now instead as it's less frightening for him when he's going blind. No sooner do I get all the dirty blankets and towels in a basket does he jump in and start rolling his sweet coconut smelling body (ugggghhhhh...). Next week it's two days of more parental medical appointments, a home health nurse visit, and an entire day devoted to pre-Thanksgiving baking.
