Thrilling Saturday report, see man:

A call from Mama T-B. awoke us, the Many'th (2+2th) consecutive such to do same, truncated zzz we man.

No ESs were attended or contemplated, too much effort for too little perceived gain man.

Lunch was another (small) chicken pot pie from Costco, ingest we man.

Waited till after 1 p.m. to get Uncle T-B.'s grocery list, shop we man for senior he man man.

Spent $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2 +2+1) -- si man, $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2 +2+1) -- on his stuff, $i man.

Store was mobbed and we left with a splitting headache, ache we man.

Uncle T-B. grateful as always, casa-bound senior he man.

Used this visit to go to Mama T-B.'s crib, other side of same building man.

Collected more requested stuff, collect we man.

Delivered said stuff, deliver we man.

Mama T-B. showed us her phone, only Many% ([2+2]%) storage left man.

We recommended clearing caches and deleting unnecessary apps, recommend we man.

Mama T-B. objected strenuously to deleting anything possibly needed, :girlwerewolf2xn: and :bonk: man.

We convinced her to clear caches, at least that man.

Mama T-B. would not let us do it but instead did it herself, consume-timing senior she man.

At marathon's end, Mama T-B. had freed another Many% ([2x2x2 +2+2]%) of storage, success man.

Mama T-B. then lectured us about the usual, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

It was now half-past Many (2+2+1) p.m. and nearly din-din time, consider options we man.

A Denny's was just across the road from the hospital, see we man.

Din-din was a Many+ chicken fried steak with corn + macaroni/cheese, ingest we man.

Total amount after various discounts was just $Many. Many, quite a bargain man.

This satisfied our yen to visit Denny's a couple or Many times per year, enough for now man.

Arrived at casa and was met by outraged miu, Where Were You Daddy man.

Treated/lunched miu, serve miu we man.

We then headed upstairs for intended major siesta, need zzz we man.

Miu wanted to play, You Owe Me Daddy man.

We dimly heard miu give her feather-roller squawking during our zzz, out of it we man.

When we arose, miu insisted on our attention, attack thrown feather-rollers with gusto miu man.

Mini-B. due Sunday eve, Two Guys week man.

Weather supposed to head straight south, cold rain wind yuck man.

We hope that his new coat fits, hope we man.

Party with the rubias ongoing, cavort we man.

Watched football game and consumed Many (2+1) Costco popcorns, ingest we man.

Laundry conquered during this time, conqueror we man.

Miu sat on our lap at great length for scratch-chinning, luxuriating miu man.

Before our intended siesta, we texted ex-Mrs.-T-B. to inquire about Mini-B.'s hoamwurk, si man.

Halfway through our siesta, we got 2 calls and 2 texts, initially ignore we man.

Mini-B. had an uncompleted in-class assignment for Health, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Furthermore, he had returned the textbook that we had specially gotten, :bonk:  man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. reamed Mini-B. a new one and suspended his phone for a week, agree we man.

Mini-B. is to get the book back from the teecher on Monday or lose phone for another week, si man.

Mini-B. is also nearly failing Math, no reason for this man.

We are at wit's end, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

At least Mini-B. seems somewhat contrite, for what that's worth man.

Consequent to all this, ex-Mrs.-T-B. canceled a hen-party appearance with her amigas, bummed ex-she man.

We left the casa for the first time, with Mini-B., for 2-item grocerying, si man.

We have delayed revising our standard grocery list and have been paying for it with multiple trips, :bonk: man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. brought spaghetti/ground meat for Mini-B.'s din-din, prepared ex-she man man.

Mini-B. preferred PB&J sandwiches, prepare we and ingest Many (2+1) wee man man.

We consumed the s/gm, ingest we man.

We then conveniently dished the warsher with ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s container, efficient we man.

I don't pass out stuff my kids won't eat just in case we have leftovers.

Why don't Americans pass out more mini bags of chips?  This is a common thing back home.  Not only do they tend to be less allergy offensive, but they keep the trick or treat bag much lighter!

While at Mama T-B.'s place, we saw the roster of incoming telephone calls, see we man.

Many (2+1) -- si man, Many (2+1) -- were from Cousinette T-B., inevitable and egad man.

Cousinette T-B. has the most loving heart ever, truth man.

However, she is the only true extrovert in the family, and massively so man.

She thinks that everyone loves people, parties, and attention all the time, conclude she man.

This particularly extends to the sick and hospitalized, sigh and :bonk: man.

This means copious and mandatory flowers, balloons, plants, and lengthy yakking visits, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Mama T-B. wants zero visitors, can't blame her man.

She is allergic to most flowers, can't fault her man.

She has no use or place for balloons or potted plants, neither do we man.

She is already fretting about the volume of stuff to be returned home and the mess until it's organized, excessive worry but That's Senior She Man man.

Mama T-B. wants/needs to reserve her energies for what's necessary, such as recovery, si man.

Visitors and even uninvited phone calls drain her, absolutely the same with us man.

She doesn't care to be seen in a diminished condition, can't blame or fault her man.

None -- NONE -- of this matters to or is comprehended by Cousinette T-B. in the slightest, no man.

Cousinette T-B. has already contacted ex-Mrs.-T-B. to inquire about Mama T-B.'s whereabouts, thankfully no squealing by ex-she man man.

It is inevitable that we shall soon be contacted by Cousinette T-B., bet your life savings on this man.

Anything that we say to Cousinette T-B., no matter how diplomatic, will hurt her feelings, certain we man.

However, we must fend her off, protect Mama T-B. we man.

We acknowledge the invasive nature of extroverts but remain mystified why they must actively seek to take away people's time, space, comfort, and energy, see but no see we man.

Discussion, si man.

Why don't Americans pass out more mini bags of chips?  This is a common thing back home.  Not only do they tend to be less allergy offensive, but they keep the trick or treat bag much lighter!

While out with mini-Dave, PRG, and neighbors (have little girl nine months younger than mini-Dave and even littler girl who's like six months old now -- also, babies seem much lighter now than they were three years ago), overheard some older tricker-treaters complaining about getting too many Reese's. I was like "most people buy candy they like so the leftovers won't be wasted, and everyone without a peanut allergy likes Reese's". Of course, this year bought candy mini-Dave likes instead as Halloween candy is bad for my diet, man; last year regressed five or ten pounds (still, down over forty pounds from when I started this back in August 2022) over the holidays, trying to avoid repeat.

At any rate, mini-Dave had a good time trick or treating; didn't get scared off by the slasher-movie-villain at the super-decorated home this year (last year, daddy having a lightsaber and mommy dressed as Captain Marvel was apparently insufficient reassurance).

I often buy mini Playdoh.  It's a pretty reasonable hit, even with older kids, and I think some parents are relieved its not more candy AND it's a small quantity.  The first year I was handing it out, I was still in Canada.  It was a chilly, snowy Hallowe'en in northern Alberta.  We had a little deck up to the front door with about 4 stairs or something.  This kid came to the door, did the ole "trick or treat!" and when I gave him the Playdoh, he went bookin' it off the deck, maybe hit one step, gleefully shouting "THIS HOUSE HAS PLAYDOH! THIS HOUSE HAS PLAYDOH!".  I still chuckle about it to this day and that was over 16 years ago.
