OK, see man [ahem, harrumph man]:

The JC is Many years old, lives Many hours/miles from us (but in an area that we visit at least twice yearly), and liked us on a dating site, whereupon we wrote her back, si man.  She has 2 kids (ages Many and Many years, respectively), si man.  She is a real estate appraiser, si man.  She has high executive function, responsible JC man.  She is #2 of Many siblings and the first female-type chica among them, si man.  She has fair skin but is not a rubia, oh well man.  Her first language is Spanish but she's completely bilingual, si man.  She is exceptionally fotogenic, whee man.  She takes relationships VERY slowly, sigh man.  We were talking again, and she warned us that her phone was at 1%, and indeed it died precisely in the middle of a "getting to know you" question, sigh man.  She is not pretentious, no man.  She routinely overextends herself in terms of family obligations, sigh man.  She has a good heart to the extent of visiting her ex-sister-in-law in the hospital, si man.  It is hard for us to connect regularly with her, overextended JC man man.  She does not like public displays of affection, sigh man.  These are the spilled beans about the JC, si man.

She actually sounds pretty perfect for you. Minus she's not a rubia. Definitely keep us posted.

We once went through a leak that ruined the septic system, took months to fix, and cost about 8k. Had to replace the water lines and the whole septic system/drain fields and then all the lawn. We've had subsequent issues every few years, but bought a protection policy through the water company. They fix it now at no cost to us, provided they don't send out complete idiots.

Christmas has been crazy. A two week stay for my dad in the hospital (him refusing to go again followed by me saying you're going whether you like it or not) and once again they save his life with no realization or appreciation of it on his part (those nurses did everything for him!). They dump him out of the hospital on Christmas-Eve-eve and a new bodily reality for him that certain functions aren't going to work anymore. Nurses start home visiting again today but he is weak and doesn't want to move.

Christmas everyone came to see him and open gifts, but he fell asleep during much of it. My best gift was a sling that I can strap my dog into, giving me the ability to walk and do things hands-free.

Oh my, I'm glad you were able to get him to go in. Big hugs.

Doggy harness sounds cool. I don't walk the doxies and the Labrador is getting old and likes to just sit on the back patio or sleep.

Thrilling Thursday report, see man:

Lunch was 2 turkey-&-cheese sandwiches, ingest we man.

A lengthy siesta was then taken, zzz we man.

Rain finally stopped after sunset, about time man.

Decided to go to Costco, needed and sales items man.

We went for Many (2x2x2 -1) items and returned with Many (2x2x2), restrained we man.

The Many'th (2x2x2th) item was a tub of chicken salad, irresistibly attracted we man.

Several tablespoons of this were consumed for din-din, ingest we man.

(We took along our Subway coupon/card but were still full from lunch, maybe tomorrow man.)

Nothing formal planned for Friday, no man.

One ES is too far away, perhaps conclude we man.

Party with the rubias tonight, cavort we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Thursday, report we man.

"Thrilling" Saturday non-ES report, see man:

The JC texted us at 1 a.m. to say that she'd just finished helping with family wedding prep, incorrigible JC man.

We awoke feeling not as lousy as usual, be thankful for little crumbs of happiness we man man.

We had a nice first-date event to invite the near-rubia (NR) to, si man.

She objected to parts of the plan, object NR man and accommodate we man.

She took nearly 2 hours to respond to the revisions and suggest others, tardy NR man.

We finally gave up waiting and proceeded with our day, already nearly 1 p.m. man.

We had not consumed toucans or onecan of anything, waiting on NR to confirm or change again man.

After ES-ing, we went to Aldi, nothing there that we'd come for man.

It was now 2 hours + half an hour since our last plea for confirmation, si man.

We gauged our headache and off-urinated status, both off the charts man.

We texted the NR with "Changed mind, si man.  It's off, si man.  Sorry, si man.  All the best, si man," si man.

The NR immediately texted, "I was willing to make the drive and meet you there, si man!" si man.

We should have told her off about responding responsibly when people are waiting, :ranting: man.

But the NR wasn't worth the effort, no man.

We delivered a couple of Aldi items to Mama T-B., deliver we man to senior she man man.

Mama T-B. observed that we have lost too much weight, shadow of our former self we man man.

Went to Subway for breakfast/lunch/din-din WUOC & gift card, financially savvy we man.

Returned to casa to service demanding miu, Feed Me Daddy miu man.

Devoured the Subway, voraciously ingest we man.

Tried to siesta with cough and splitting headache, complete failure man.

Finally gave up, just forget it man.

Took cough syrup with acetaminophen in it, ingest we man.

Slighter headache remains, almost tolerable man.

We are thoroughly enjoying our traumatic Saturday night here at the casa, oh whoopee man.

Waiting for the LR (Legitimate Rubia) or the JC to contact us, need potential sympathy we man man.

And that was/is our thoroughly thrilling Saturday, report we man.

Dump her now man.  She's just a worthless, somewhat typical rubia.

You deserve better.

Mama Neon has been sick and has had an annoying cough.  We are all avoiding her.  Of course she feels neglected however I have been speaking to her on the phone.  She didn't get together with us and the daughter and grandkids (in her case great grandkids) for Christmas.  This morning we are headed to the Keys for the week and when I told her about that last night I got the "well I guess I won't see you for another couple of weeks..." sad story.  She says that at least she has some friends where she lives.  I know what she is trying to do.

Did that last night, not because I was sick but because I was dead tired from a full day working outside cutting and trimming with the chainsaw.  Falling asleep sitting up before 9:00.  Knew if I went to bed then without assistance I would be up before 3:00am.  Took the nighttime cold medicine and slept like "an illegitimate child" until 6:00am.  WOW.  I never sleep that late.  Now to get my rubia up so we can head to the Keys.
