Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

 

We had an Occupational Therapy caucus (hands/wrists) set for 1 p.m., long drive man.

They had cancellations and asked if we could come earlier, agree to noon we man.

We ate nothing and blew out of the casa, fearing bad traffic man.

We arrived at half-an-hour-till-noon, traffic not that fierce man.

 

We were seen precisely at noon, see they man we man man.

Nice OT-ess took careful history, functional readings, and measurements, thorough she man.

Gave us exercises, names of equipment & where to get it, and encouragement, si man.

After the full hour, we left feeling encouraged, amazing man.

This was perhaps the best medical hour that we've ever experienced, conclude we man.

 

Traffic worse on return, fiercer man.

We stopped at Costco Business Center for 2 soon-to-be-needed items, don't run out man.

We left with Many (2+2+1) items, all pleasant finds man.

One was a pack of Many (2+2+1) Subway gift cards for the price of Many (2+2), financially savvy we man.

We were very well pleased, pleased we man.

 

Returned to casa at half-of-half till Many p.m., return we man.

Miu was interested in miu-lunch, lobby miu we man man.

We dealt with miu and purchases, si man.

 

Breakfast/lunch/din-din was the remaining Many (2+1) slices of 'roni 'za, ingest we man.

A wonderful siesta was taken thereafter, zzz we man.

 

Side yard is flooding, uh-oh man.

The outside spigot is bone-dry, that part good man.

We suspect an underground leak,  we man.

Plumber will be expen$ive,  and  man.

 

Party with the rubias this eve, cavort we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.

Oh no a leak at Christmas will cost a bloody fortune. Did you check if it was from the neighbour that you mentioned earlier? Do you have a shut off at the street? You can turn the water off to the house, fill up a couple buckets for the bathroom and jugs for drinking water. This time of the year it may take a a bit to get a plumber. If you can shut the water off to the house it will save your water bill. That sucker will go sky high fast.

Other neighbor (retired mechanical engineer) doesn't think it's our leak, no D ma'am.

He looked at our street meter and saw no needle moving, confirmed by we man man.

It's not our neighbor on the flooded side, just checked she man.

It might be a neighbor across back fence who's had recent tree work done, tentatively conclude we man man.

If this is correct, it's merely a soggy mess (inhibiting mow-lawning) until resolved, shrug we man.

We were not looking forward to paying a plumber, NO man!

That used to really bother our little dog but she is deaf now.

Thrilling Wednesday report, see man:

 

Rainy/thundering all night till around noon, disruptive to zzz man.

 

Didn't leave the casa all day, no man.

Did collect rainwater newspapers, dim hope of fast-food coupons man.

To our delight, Subway coupons are back, whee man!   

We managed to find several unsoaked papers, ample coupons collected man.

These coupons will go quite well with Subway gift cards bought yesterday, $i man.

Finally something to eat, incipiently ingest we man!   

 

Lunch was 2 turkey-&-cheese sandwiches, ingest we man.

 

Realized belatedly that we'd missed It's a Wonderful Life last night,  we man.

We found it free on Roku TV, watch we man.

Two bowls of Costco popcorn were consumed, ingest we man.

 

A siesta was taken after the movie, zzz we man.

Football was watched after the siesta, ghastly game man.

 

Junior chica called us just now, pleasant surprise man.

She made out like a bandit with gifts, impressive man.

She will call us back, had to truncate call JC she man man.

 

Miu was quiescent all day except during miu-meal/miu-treat times, quiescent miu man.

Miu will probably wake up when we ourself are ready for bed, usual pattern man.

 

No particular plans for Thursday, no man.

Looks like only 1 or 2 reachable ESs for the weekend,  man.

Party with the rubias later, cavort we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Wednesday, report we man.

OK, see man [ahem, harrumph man]:

 

The JC is Many years old, lives Many hours/miles from us (but in an area that we visit at least twice yearly), and liked us on a dating site, whereupon we wrote her back, si man.  She has 2 kids (ages Many and Many years, respectively), si man.  She is a real estate appraiser, si man.  She has high executive function, responsible JC man.  She is #2 of Many siblings and the first female-type chica among them, si man.  She has fair skin but is not a rubia, oh well man.  Her first language is Spanish but she's completely bilingual, si man.  She is exceptionally fotogenic, whee man.  She takes relationships VERY slowly, sigh man.  We were talking again, and she warned us that her phone was at 1%, and indeed it died precisely in the middle of a "getting to know you" question, sigh man.  She is not pretentious, no man.  She routinely overextends herself in terms of family obligations, sigh man.  She has a good heart to the extent of visiting her ex-sister-in-law in the hospital, si man.  It is hard for us to connect regularly with her, overextended JC man man.  She does not like public displays of affection, sigh man.  These are the spilled beans about the JC, si man.

I was spending the afternoon with my daughter and the twins. (Proud grandpa here) 

Got to watch much of a great game where the Ravens destroyed an inferior team.

We once went through a leak that ruined the septic system, took months to fix, and cost about 8k. Had to replace the water lines and the whole septic system/drain fields and then all the lawn. We've had subsequent issues every few years, but bought a protection policy through the water company. They fix it now at no cost to us, provided they don't send out complete idiots.

 

Christmas has been crazy. A two week stay for my dad in the hospital (him refusing to go again followed by me saying you're going whether you like it or not) and once again they save his life with no realization or appreciation of it on his part (those nurses did everything for him!). They dump him out of the hospital on Christmas-Eve-eve and a new bodily reality for him that certain functions aren't going to work anymore. Nurses start home visiting again today but he is weak and doesn't want to move. 

 

Christmas everyone came to see him and open gifts, but he fell asleep during much of it. My best gift was a sling that I can strap my dog into, giving me the ability to walk and do things hands-free.
