Thrilling Sunday report, see man:

We didn't leave the casa all day, no man.

We were/are downcast that we can't eat anything, no ingest we man.

Everything has either fat and sodium or carbs and sugar, sigh man.

We accomplished nothing except conquering our one LL, unenthusiastically domestic we man.

We didn't even dish the warsher, only one other similar Sunday in recent memory man.

Lunch was a banana (high-sugar, sigh man), guiltily ingest we man.

Din-din was Modified Tuna Glop (high-carb/high-sodium, sigh man), guiltily ingest we man.

Nighttime snack was onecan of baked beans (high-sodium/high-sugar, sigh man) and most of a Many-ounce bag of "uncured turkey pepperoni slices" (high-sodium, sigh man), guiltily ingest we man.

Even such things as Hungry Man din-dins and pot pies appear to be forbidden, sigh man.

Everything that we might air-fry appears to be forbidden, sigh man.

We don't want to merely prep food for Mini-B. and sit and watch him eat, ingest solo wee man man.

Barring outside advice, we are inclined simply to avoid sugar-laden junk and cross our fingers, sigh man.

In other news, Mini-B. is here and miu is noticeably excited, present wee man and excited miu man.

No party with the rubias tonight, forget cavorting we man.

Complex carbs aren't the enemy, even with prediabetes.  Simple carbs are.  Lean protein focus and getting away from processed foods.  Read the packages for actual portion sizes and grab an app like Cronometer and start tossing the food you eat into it - you'll learn pretty quickly where you're falling short.

Doctors aren't typically great with nutrition counseling.  Most insurance plans offer nutrition services free of charge - take advantage of it.

I'm fat right now, too, but it's blamable on hormones.  The doc and I are working on that.  I had abdominal surgery 8 weeks ago and wasn't allowed to pick anything over 10lbs up until 2 weeks ago.  Easing back into the regular but before surgery, I was lifting weights 3-5 times a week; I'm strong, but I don't look it.  Muscle burns a lot of calories and lifting has been proven to help retain bone mass.

My stepsister has been T1 diabetic since we were kids.  She's very well managed.  My ex and his mom are T2 diabetic.  His eating is horrible!  He was here visiting and I can't even count the number of York Peppermint Patties he ate.  They sit in a candy dish on the counter and we'll grab one on occasion.  This was occasion: every time he noticed the jar!

I'm so sorry about the useless doctor. Go check out DR Ken Berry, if you're worried about fat and cholesterol check out Dr Ovidia he's a cardiac surgeon and he has now changed how he treats his patients. Fat is not bad, we've been lied too, it's the carbs and sugar. They want us on statins, and guess what the stains will make your AC1 go up to be diabetic not just prediabetic anymore.

Not sure if your PCOS keeping in check is because of babies in the future but check out DR. Robert Kiltz founder and director of one of the top ranked fertility clinics. If not trying to get pregnant it's still good to get good information about PCOS.

My PCOS is well... difficult and it caused a spiral of problems for years. Typically they want you on BC, and I failed every one due to side effects or just not having any impact, then they'd ask me to confirm I wasn't pregnant for the 100th time and the humiliating despair knowing I wasn't just to satisfy their 'record keeping'. They gave me a choice of IUD or hysterectomy. I didn't want to sign away my chances (slim I still know) of kids in the future like that even as debilitating as the symptoms are so the doctor suggested metformin and diet which keep some of the symptoms in control so far, though now the cholesterol has just gone up. The A1C and my weight improves but nothing else. I'll check them out, thanks.

I've been down a similar road with PCOS. It truly does suck. Also check out Kelly Hogan, she had a horrible time with it too and many other health related issues.

Sadly Doctors are not trained with food, they are trained to shell out pills and listen to big pharma. I learned this during my own pain and suffering. I went to the extreme of the Carnivore diet (first time in my life I do not hurt every second of every day) along with everyone else in the family, minus the two littles I allow them to have whole foods and treats during birthdays and holidays.

Food is my love language and I still do so much baking for company and entertaining during the holidays so I still get that fulfillment.

My heart goes out to all other ladies diagnosed with PCOS. I've never been slim and was diagnosed six years ago to have PCOS. Since meeting my now husband I'm doing a lot better in terms of my diet. My condition has improved drastically but the hirsutism is sadly irreversible (and very annoying not to mention harmful to self-esteem).

I just cut out carbs where I can. I didn't try any kind of fad diet or doctor's advice. (UK doctors are useless to be frank.) I don't eat rice (cauliflower rice is my substitute now), chips/fries, or crisps/potato chips. I drastically slew my chocolate intake which was the biggest kicker for me.

On occasion I'll have some mash, or a few choc-coated blueberries, and I can't help but have some bread here and there. (Texas Toast is a favourite discovery of mine!) But the difference I feel is noteworthy since I altered my diet. And (sorry T-Bone) but my time of the month isn't nearly as heavy as it used to be, which is common with PCOS.

Also look into myo-inositol supplements. They have some online/on Amazon specifically for PCOS sufferers.

One thing I've learned that substituting other fruits in place of bananas and you'll cut down on a lot of sugar. Berries, peaches, plums, apples. Got an instapot or crockpot? There's a really good low sodium turkey chili recipe my dad even likes. You can also find low sodium baked beans now. My dad is limited to red meat only once a week so I have to try and make sure things like chicken and ground turkey are palatable without salt. No more hungry-mans for him either. For a while I would make him low fat tuna/salmon salad or chicken salad; the secret there would be lite mayo cut with no fat plain greek yogurt and lemon (you can also toss in grapes or red onion).

Thrilling Monday-on-Tuesday report, see man:

Monday was markedly better than was Sunday, albeit almost anything would have been man.

We dropped Mini-B. at skool, drop we man wee man man.

We then returned to the casa to ready ourself for an important financial caucus, $i man.

We dappered up in suit & tie, long time since same man.

We T-B.-mobiled to the site, arrive in timely fashion we man.

The various advisors and vice-presidents abjectly bowed and scraped in our presence, $ucce$$ful Bu$ine$$ Typhoon we man.

After we bade them rise, they knelt at our feet, re$pect they man we man man.

They implored us not to use part of our POTS* funds to completely retire the U.S. national debt, implore they man we man man.

     *buy yours today, si man!

After lengthy consideration, we consented, perhaps another day man.

They validated our parking and bade us adieu, ciao man.

Before we left, we asked one of them to take fotos of us all dappered up, si man.

We have posted those fotos on a meet-chicas site, si man.

Maybe now we can finally replace some of the worthless rubias with better ones, set-goaling we man.

The guy also promised to wrack his Rolodex to find us potential chicas, better than no hope at all man.

We celebrated the caucus by lunching at a nearby Costco, ingest footlong hot dog** and Diet Pepsi we man.

**high-fat/high-sodium, sigh man; bun high-carb, sigh man

We gassed the intensely thirsty T-B.-mobile, such a gas man.

We returned to the casa and siesta'd, zzz we man.

Worthless maid contacted us to come on Tuesday, believe it when we see it man.

We agreed and now have to declutter all that we decluttered last time when she stood us up, :ranting: man.

If she ghosts us or is more than half an hour late this time, to blazes with her, forget her man.

The Roomba is more dependable, conclude we man.

Din-din was 2 sliced-turkey Hungry Man din-dins***, ingest Two Guys and sigh we man.

***we gave Mini-B. our apple glop, sacrifice we for wee man man

Football night was then participated in, Monday Night man.

Many (2+2) bowls of Costco popcorn**** were consumed, ingest Two Guys man.

****our diet was hosed long beforehand, sigh man

Would have had Many bowls, but today's sodium hosed our stomach, out back end man.

We are currently snacking on "Russell Stover sugar-free (made with Stevia extract) chocolate candy-coated peanuts," ingest we man.

They are just like M&Ms, conclude we man.

We still like the sugar-free York Peppermint Patties better, return to store for more of those soon we man.

Aside from fruitful/fruitless awaiting of maid, no plans for Tuesday, no man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Monday, report we man.

Scintillating Tuesday repartee, yawn man.

(Bad absent Asia!  Bad, BAD absent ABSENT Asia!)

-------

Thrilling Tuesday-on-Wednesday report, see man:

After skooling Mini-B., we intensely decluttered kitchen counter & breakfast table pre-maid, hustle we man.

Maid (+ Mama Maid) actually showed up, mirabile dictu man!

They were half an hour late, but we finished decluttering at that precise moment, timing man.

We then preemptively dished the warsher to prevent them from messing with our stuff, preemptive we man.

Maid & Mama Maid worked for nearly Many hours, Many months since their last visit man.

Miu was an excited observer of this entire process, observational miu man.

No trace of weeks-old dried miu-barf on downstairs floor, no trace man.

No thick dust all over bookcases, no dust man.

No tumbleweed-sized balls of miu-hair in the Jacuzzi, no miu-hair man.

We paid maid a little extra because of the trouble, actually caused by her delinquent scheduling man.

It was worth it this time, Mini-B. heartily approved and so will ex-Mrs.-T-B. man.

Now we must deduce how to assuage the Roomba's hurt feelings, deduce we man.

Lunch was a turkey-&-cheese sandwich, ingest we man.

A siesta was taken afterward, zzz we man.

Mini-B. hungry immediately upon de-skooling, different from usual man.

Din-din was one-Many'rd of the bag of Birdseye Garlic Chicken & Vegetables*, ingest Two Guys man.

*bought earlier on sale at Costco, financially savvy we man

It was good enough to eat again, re-ingest Two Guys man.

However, Mini-B. was hungry thereafter, ravenous wee man man.

We let him eat some junk, wreck wee man's stomach later man.  :bonk:

With some daylight remaining, we played backyard football, beautifully manicured lawn for Two Guys man.

We then pursued our own stuff for the rest of the eve, independent Two Guys man.

Mini-B. so tired that he asked to skip brush-teething, really exhausted wee man man.

Party with the rubias ongoing, cavort we man.

No formal obligations on Wednesday, unobligated we man man.

And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.

Scintillating Wednesday repartee, yawn man.

-------

Thrilling Wednesday report, see man:

We are at a body weight that we never conceived that we could return to, shadow-of-former-self we man.

After about Many (2x2x2) more pounds, we're afraid that we'll keep losing even if unwanted, sigh man.

Lunch was 2 turkey-&-cheese sandwiches, ingest we man.

A major siesta was then taken, zzz we man.

Upon de-skooling Mini-B., our suspicion of a slow-leaking tyre grew to alarm, alarmed we man.

Tried to add air ourself, cheap worthless ineffective home-use product man.  :ranting:

Usual repair place couldn't take us, too jammed man.

Called Firestone, agree they man if we hurried man.

Visible nail pulled from tyre, confirm-suspicioned we man.

We were there for just over an hour, Mini-B. starving at casa man.

Shop treated tyre thoroughly, rebalancing + more, and evened out air in all Many (2+2) tyres, nice man.

It was almost worth the $Many that we paid, oh well man.

Mini-B. had consumed a pack of Oreos but was still ravenous, ingest not enough wee man man.

We promptly prepared Costco bacon + loaded potato halves, ingest with gusto Two Guys man.

Rarely has a Two Guys din-din been so satisfying, agree Two Guys man.

Movie night was Paul Blart, Mall Cop, excellent man.

Many (2+2) bowls of Costco popcorn were consumed, ingest Two Guys man.

This already quotas* our week, Many (2x2x2 +2+1) bowls ingested Two Guys man.

*cool new verb invented by us just now, clever we man

Mini-B. got embedded almost on time, second consecutive night too tired to teethbrush wee man man.

Party with the rubias imminent, cavort we man.
