Thrilling Wednesday-on-Thursday report, see belatedly man:

This was a rather eventful day, si man.

We had to arise at o'dark-Many to get Mini-B. to his Band sectional, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

The Band director sent an early e-mail saying that this was canceled, :ranting: man.

After dragging tail listlessly for the extra time, we got Mini-B. to skool at regular time, groggy we man.

We then drove straight to favorite auto shop in hopes of a much-need T-B.-mobile oil change, si man.

Fortuitously, they could fit us in right then, change we man.

Owner had just returned after vascular surgery, and we pleasantly caught up, schmooz we and he man.

We remembered to ask for a battery check while there, just coherent enough we man.

Battery was weak, good thing we asked man.

New battery was delivered and installed within minutes, pleasant surprise man.

The final bill was $Many, slight discount from owner man.

The radio settings in the T-B.-mobile held, only clock and day/date reset man.

We now need not worry about battery out-conking on a hot day, peace of mind man.

It was now just half-of-half past Many (2x2x2 +2) a.m., early man.

We were sleepy and hungry, bad combination man.

Brunch was at BK*, ingest we man.

*bought WUOC, financially savvy we man

We then returned to the casa for a siesta at Many (2x2x2 +2+1) a.m., zzz we man.

At half-past 1 p.m., we went to Mama T-B.'s, aforementioned trouble with CD application man.

Group call with bank yielded same answer as before, to blazes with them man.

We helped Mama T-B. sign up for a different CD elsewhere, approval pending man.

We got out just in time to hit Mini-B.'s skool traffic, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Today was ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s non-Two-Guys eve with Mini-B., no rush for us man.

Indignant miu demanded treats and lunch, service miu we man.

Din-din was onecan of Aldi chili, ingest we man.

We then took siesta #2, re-zzz we man.

Mini-B. returned at regular time, return ex-she man wee man man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. was starting to get frazzled about Hawaii trip with the Rojo, Friday morning man.

Flight to Hawaii is distinctly longer than flight to Ecu, amazing man.

We hope that it rains nonstop, it's expen$ive, and they're jet-lagged, man.

Mini-B. bombed his History test, :( man.

We wrote the teechur to ask how to remediate it, sigh man.

Mini-B. thought that he passed his Non-P-Math test, fingers crossed man.

We are nearly out of some of our most crucial VJ-activity junk food, mandatory restock Thursday man.

Several local ESs/GSs have already been advertised for the weekend, hopeful we man.

No party with the rubias tonight, still groggy we man.

We are happy with the accomplishments of today, including the siestas, conclude we man.

*air-fried Costco breaded-cod pieces on Costco hamburger buns

This was our "din-din of challenge," knew that Mini-B. would beef man.

We told him that if he objected to the menu, to learn to cook, si man.

Mini-B. decided to eat the cod and the buns separately, complain progressively less wee man.

At the end, he had up-eaten almost everything, victory over wee man we man man.

Five years of marriage with PRG today.

Still contemplating how incredibly implausible my non-work life now would have seemed to me before we met (prior romantic attempts on my part being ... really unsuccessful), and very glad she's part of my life.

For some reason mini-Dave's daycare seemed to think "he'll be four soon" meant "he's four now" (corrected them on this a few times), so he was in a class with slightly older kids for a few weeks. Seems happier with new class (though this is only day 2). Also started soccer, which he seems to be having fun with. Watches some British cartoons on YouTube, so will need to make sure he doesn't start calling it football (nothing wrong with soccer, but futbol no es football).

Met up with a couple of guys I know from an online college football fans group over the weekend.

Despite rain, and a baby shower taking up the room with the kid-height tables, was good to meet some other people here.

Also have an old college friend in town; need to catch up with him again (did meet while I was here over Christmas break).

Arranged for parents-Dave to visit for mini-Dave's birthday (have been to every one but his 0th); paid for tickets entirely with airline points that had been sitting around unused (because buying points isn't very efficient, three transcontinental tickets was way more than I had in points, and it's usually a good idea to get all tickets in one transaction when traveling together). Wonder if papa-Dave will do more minor household repairs and upgrades this time; won't be able to bring his tools when flying instead of driving.
