Traveling to Europe with my green card (CR1)

I apologize if this question is basic and has been asked before.

I’m traveling to my home country (Spain) for 3 weeks at the end of the month. I recently received my green card (category CR-1, with expiration date 12/12/24).  Do I need to show my Spanish passport AND green card at both airports (USA when I’m exiting the country + Spain when returning and before I come back)?  Or just one of the two? It’ll be my first time traveling with the green card.  Any additional considerations I should keep in mind while traveling? Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, you need both to travel internationally - passport to leave a country (out of the US then Spain) and to board a flight to the US you will need the green card in addition to the passport.

Just have them both with you and present them at the airport, if they need to see one but not the other they will let you know. Safe travels!
