Let me think about it I can probably narrow it down to where he is from, he produces some got stuff, interesting, topical, and short

I am going to say Lancashire, I will need to pay attention, there are words and phrases that could narrow it down, he has mellowed so may have stopped using particular local words. Words are easier to change than accent.

This is much like trying to distinguish Wisconsin from Iowa or North Dakota from Minnesota.

Of interest, it's quite easy to determine where someone in tiny Ecuador is from, in terms of the dialects there.

To give you a better idea the County I live in Colorado is much bigger than Lancashire. actually twice the size.

 

I used to live near two brothers who grew up about 12 miles from where I did and had been in the US for sometime, a mutual neighbour could not understand why he could make out most of what I said and half of what they did.
