Hi! I'm submitting I-140 and I-907, but the instructions say payment must be made either by a US money order, or a credit card, both of which need to be from a US bank/institution.

I know it's come up a few times here before, but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer.

Has anyone from the UK successfully filed in the last 6-12 months using a UK payment method?

Ask your Employer or Lawyer to take care of it.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Can your Lawyer not take care of it?

No - I'm only using a lawyer to assess and review my application, so they can't make or organise payment for me.

That is unfortunate, good luck.

I assume all UK Banks do business in the US in some form or other. UK Debit Cards definitely work in the US.

I could have sworn there was a service out there that would email you a USD / US bank check after paying online with a credit card, but I cannot find it.

A couple years ago my wife mailed something to France, insured through etsy, and it was lost in the mail. She got back a PDF check and mobile deposit accepted it. So it seems like such services exist, but  you want might be loth to trust them with a hefty premium processing fee.

Have you gone to a branch of your UK bank and asked for USD money order drawn from a U.S. bank? That is what people in Canada do: go to a Big 5 bank, and get USD money orders drawn from U.S. banks.

That would be an interesting quest for sure!

I have, there was one near me and remember they had a 4th July open house.
