Traveling with expired 2 year green card I-751

Hi guys 

My husband and me planning to travel to Pakistan because his sister wedding coming up my question is can he travel with expired 2 year old and i751 letter we got the extension letter for 48 months 

we will be going for only 5-6 weeks 

please let us know if he will be able to enter usa . 

kindly advise which airline will be best from 

Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish

I think the reason that person got stuck is because they had a I-551 stamp and extension letter. As we know, the stamp doesn't get extended by extension letters.

I would do Emirates or Qatar, I have flown all the airlines mentioned, and these would be my top 2, might not be the cheapest of the 4. I am not a big fan of Turkish airline, but I had no issues, and have only flown them once, but didn't get that welcoming vibe like you definitely get with Emirates. Etihad is pretty good also, but I have only flown them once also, while I have Multiple trips on Emirates and Qatar. As for travel with the extension letter, had no issues with my wife, other than one time in Korea, but I blame that on the gate agent there, were were all checked thru at the beginning of the trip, and then this gate agent got flaky on our layover, but still worked out.
