Hi everybody

I am kind of freaking out here....I have to send the AOS to Chicago Lock Box and they are then gonna send it to the Local Office. In my case the local office is Cleveland, Ohio. I was checking the processing time for this office and on march 10th they were processing november 30 2005. So it means that if I send the AOS on april 15th I might get the Green Card 4-5 months later only. Is this possible? I wish......

If everything lines up it could happen that way. Don't get your hopes up though. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Don't pin your hopes on it, and certainly don't plan around it. Dates for processing change all the time and rarely do they reflect the 'real' situation. An office might be working on applications from all over the time spectrum, and believe it or not, sometimes the dates can go backwards.

My suggestion is to bank on a generous estimate (IE: a year) and try to work around that date rather than one that is very short-term or you are likely to be disappointed. Prepare realistically and hope for the best! :)
