Now I know this is the difficult part, waiting for the interview date. But how do I avoid going crazy? :crying::crying:

Do I need to give up hope of getting the visa in August yet?

When did you send back packet 3? The Embassy can move quickly when it feels like it. The two most important bits of info are: 1.) when did you send back packet 3 and 2.) what dates did you put down for "travel" and "wedding" on the checklist?

London seems keen on working with couples who give them travel dates. Not 100% of the time, but when possible. That might help you guess whether you'll get something in August or not. August dates are still be assigned though, right? So don't give up hope yet.

The OP is doing DCF, no wedding dates needed.

 I forgot you guys aren't psychic.... Sorry

Basically, medical was done June 25 and packet 3 was sent back on June 29. We put a travel date of 31 July because our house purchaser really wanted to complete in July and we were at the time hoping we would be done and dusted by then.

Realising we were perhaps a "little" optimistic, we persuaded the purchasers to complete 31 August, giving us another month (and we have told the Embassy).

The last we have heard is that the paperwork was processed 16 July and ready for interview scheduling. At first they were saying expect to hear in the next day or so. Now they are saying that London doesn't normally contact people for 6 to 8 weeks after processing packet 3.

Are any dates coming through at the moment?

Sorry about the timeline, I have not yet worked out how to do one.....

My Assistant -> Edit / Add my Timeline

Check the UK Interview thread for dates.

10-12 weeks between P3 & interview.

Thanks devilette. Do you know, there are occasions when you can click and click and click and still end up feeling foolish for not finding the page you want?! I hope the timeline is now added!

10 - 12 weeks??? :crying: I really hope that is not the case. I had such high hopes with all the dates flooding in a couple of weeks ago.....

Thank you TimsDaisy for the optimism, I really appreciate it. I am still hoping it isn't the 10 - 12 weeks, really really hoping... I don't want to be homeless!!:blink:
