My wife had her CR1 interview in beginning of March and received a 221G for a new police certificate report. We submitted it to the embassy the following week.

There were no updates for almost a month and then suddenly threre was an update on 04/19. Again there were no updates and suddenly there was an update on 05/13.....a Saturday. Embassy is not open on Saturdays.

Any idea what might be going on?

Are those the dates you checked the status?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Those are dates shown in ceac as Date Case last updated.

We are in the same boat: interview May 17, 2022. Casablanca asked for additional documents.

Documents received May 26, 2022

Updates here and there on a monthly basis through February 2023 and then weekly updates since then until last week.

Still no real update (the case shows Ready, since it was ready in May 2022)

But, every case is different

some of these updates (dates) are computer generated when the data is entered/computer can send them out anytime

our interview notice was sent received by me after midnight on a Friday / that would have been Saturday 5AM in moroc

The only update that really counts in issued or denied

No, those are the last updated dates in CEAC.

In the past, some cases have shown updates in CEAC when the status was checked online.  Unfortunately, I don't think those dates mean much.

What color slip did you receive with the 221(G) and did you get a DS-5535 with it?
