I-130 question

So I came over on a k1 visa, we got married and filed for I-485, but I was also told to apply for form I-130 so we did that too online. Now I’m being told that wasn’t necessary. Is that true? Should I withdraw the I-130?

If you married within 90 days then you do not file I-130.

When did you get married?

And what did you choose on this part of the I-485?

We did get married within the 90 days, and I chose person admitted to United States as a fiancé. I’m thinking I should just withdraw the I-130 now?

Okay we did, so I should just withdraw it? Do you know if I’ll have any issues doing so?

Personally, I would withdraw it and attach a letter explaining the reason. I do not think it would cause any issues.

 

I would also not take further advice from whoever told you to file I-130.

And maybe get paid help for the rest of your processes, so that you can be sure to not make any other costly mistakes.

in addition I don’t know what the lawyer check between immediate relative “130” or k1/k2 holder

Hopefully you file a lawsuit against the law firm and get the money back for i-130 and court fee via a judge order
