The Oath Ceremony is scheduled on Friday May 19th at the immigration office on 16th street.  This is where he had his interview.

I would not expect guests to be permitted.

Call and ask.

I was able to attend my wife's naturalization ceremony at the USCIS office in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  I also took pictures.  As a U.S. citizen it's an experience to see the finished product of years of time, effort and money.

When my wife naturalized her ceremony was at a courthouse and guests were allowed.  What was interesting is no one could bring in a cell phone (except of course the judges, and lawyers), but you could bring in tablets.  Go figure.

When my wife took her oath just last month guests where not allowed in the actual ceremony room, but they had guest rooms where you could hear the ceremony but not see due to a inoperable video projector. Most of us guests mingled in the courtyard, they let us out into the courtyard a few minutes before the new citizens came out. We took pictures and they had booths to register to vote if they wanted to at that time. I think it just depends on the location and the office.

Thanks for the information.  I did try to call but it is impossible to reach anyone on the 800 number.  If anyone has another number to talk to a live person llet me know.   It would be nice to be able to share the experience now that Covid is mostly behind us.
