As of a few days ago, just showing up at the Mexican border renders one ineligible for asylum..but as you may be aware , new policy will face challenges..

I thought the new policy only applied to those crossing away from regular border crossings.  If one shows up at a valid crossing, I believe one can still claim asylum.

Neither side agree on much..Texas is challenging the humanitarian paroles .

Even back in 2013/2014 when my now wife and I were navigating the K1/I129F, I had people suggest to me have her cross the border in the South.  Of course we did not do that, but people were thinking that 10 years ago as well.  Wonder if that had anything to do with who was in the WH at the time.
