Our I-130 was recently approved by the USCIS and now I'm in the process of completing the I-864, I tried looking at the instructions but they're not very helpful and I'm a little confused by a few sections and was hoping someone here could help me:

  1. In Part 2 (Information About the Principal Immigrant) for Mailing Address, I assume I'm supposed to put information regarding my wife (she's the one immigrating to the States), but it only allows me to put a US address. Is this supposed to be in my name, or hers, and if hers, then what address am I supposed to put here?
  2. In Part 5 (Sponsor's Household Size) I think it's supposed to automatically populate but no number is showing and it won't allow me to enter a number manually.

Would appreciate any help, thank you!

Put your wife's mailing address.  Non-US addresses are definitely allowed.  USPS zip code is not required.

For the auto-populate feature to work properly, use Adobe software when filling out the form.  Also make sure that you already filled out part 3, item 29 (number of immigrants you are sponsoring).

First, you don't "look at" the instructions.  You become an A-Student of them all the way through.  Then you fill the form from top of page one, in order, using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.  Then the form will function properly.  Look at that mailing address section again carefully, and you'll see you can enter a foreign address or a US address.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Thanks!  This worked.
