Canceling visa

What do I need to do to cancel a visa i applied for my wife children? We are at the point of she doesn't want to listen to anything I have to say so I do not feel comfortable bringing them here i have to support them and I get run over. I applied for the i-130 visa

How far into the process are you? Is the i-30 still pending? Has it been approved and have you completed the i864 and DS260? 
How many children did you petition and how many I-130s did you complete?

2 kids and in processing. Not approved yet.

Send a letter to USCIS include the case number. State you are withdrawing the petition. 
Alternatively wait until the i130s have been approved and pause the process (don’t pay any fees or complete the affidavit of support or DS260s) work on your relationship. 
Using her children as a bargaining tool might not be the best way forward for your relationship though. You can also consider waiting until your wife becomes a US citizen. Have her petition the children and when they arrive they will be US citizens.

Unless you are worried about supporting the children FULL STOP and the i864 is not the main issue.

I have read some horror stories on here, assuming you are the petitioner remember your I 864 responsibility.

9 and 13.  And I'm the petitioner.  That's why I'm not bringing them here then it's more drama.

Do you mean that you are the I-130 petitioner for your step-children?

 

If you are the petitioner, then you may notify USCIS that you are withdrawing the petition(s).  If your (green card holder) wife is the petitioner, there's nothing you can do at this point, except refuse to sign any I-864 for the children.

The only thing I'd advise is to seek marriage counseling before withdrawing the petitions. It's a lot of time and money invested already.

 

If counseling doesn't work, then proceed with the withdrawal.

Are you going forward with your marriage?  Just wondering if you've thought about how not bringing her children could affect that.  Not an easy situation for anyone involved, hope you guys can work things out.

I would estimate that 75% or more of the time if you do that, you’re essentially also saying goodbye to the marriage. I don’t know if your wife is already here however chances are she will divorce after her immigration status is secured.

 

Generally when you’re marrying a woman with children, her mantra is love me, love my children regardless and if you do anything at all that she perceives as unloving to them, you’re dead in the water.
