hi everyone!

when me and my fiancè were filling the I-129F, we wrote "Rome" (question number 20) as the embassy to refer in Italy. But after some research we found out that is the Naples embassy in Italy that releases the fiancè K-1 visa.

i just sent the petition to the Vermont office. Can it be a problem if we wrote Rome instead of Naples? Will they redirect my fiancè to Naples automatically? Will they reject my petition for this mistake?? i really hope not! But, please, someone can tell me, if know, what will happen?

thank you so much, your support is really appreciated!

Shannon

Wont be a problem, NVC knows where the, immigrant visa units are in the various countries, and will send it to them.

K-Visas are handled by the immigrant visa units.

Wait until a few weeks after NOA2, and call NVC to confirm this.

After approval of your application, the case file is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) where it is assigned a new case number based upon the embassy concerned with approving your financee's visa. The embassy will contact your fiancee with additional information and forms (packet 3) at her address listed on the application. So, even if you put the wrong embassy, it will be assigned to the one responsible in this case.
