How long after i-797 did you receive Welcome Letter please? And does Welcome Letter come when it says “Case sent to Department of State”?

I received a welcome letter after 4 working days. Welcome Letter comes with your login details, your ID number and password. Case sent to the department of state is what USCIS tells you to let you know that your case has been approved by them and it has been forwarded to the department of state. You then await your welcome letter from the NVC which comes with your login details.

Good luck, I completed our uploads last Wednesday (IV payment took a week for them to approve), hopefully we'll be approved in the next few days... however it's independence day this week so they might slow down a bit 😕

You stand a good chance of being approved by Thursday but due to the independence day, you might be approved on Friday, or Monday max.

There's a few websites with data analytic tools that can help you see statistically what is being worked on. The one I use regularly is:

They are currently working through IOE09208's (end of May - beginning of June filers) since June 26th, it seems.

Yeah, unfortunately they have slown down since the fee hikes in April. And the time is gradually increasing on a monthly basis, I am noticing. Right now it seems the average approval time is taking 14 months and one week. When I applied in September, it was 10 months and 3 weeks. It’s sad and frustrating, to say the least! If you’ve applied on 10th July, expect the approval to be by 17th August, provided they don’t slow down even further between now and then.
