This is the email they sent to my fiance. Screenshot_20230620_211932_Gmail.thumb.jpg.543f9fb14366ce14659406f1f71ad8d0.jpg

From your timeline it appears the consulate received the approved petition about 15 months ago.  While the petition approval is valid for 4 months the consulate has the ability to extend the petition for up to a year if you keep in touch with them.  Did you contact the consulate at all?

No yet, we didnt wanted to ruin our vacation with thw thought in our minds of "if they were going to reply fast enough to rebook".

Now our vacation is over, im going to submit a new letter of intent from both of us, as well new proof of on going relationship.

The million dollar question now is, if they dont extended it, do we need to start the whole process again?

Letter of intent and proof of on going relationship is not what the consulate is looking for.  They are wanting to know why it took so long for you to pursue an interview and the reasons behind the delay.  You will fail if you don't adequately address that issue.

If the refuse to extend and send the petition back to the USA then you will be starting from scratch so it is best you articulate a thoughtful and comprehensive response ASAP.

I guess we gotta try our luck, tbh i totally missed where it says that is only valid for 4 months, I was also putting a application for my mother and focused on that one first.
Just going to be honest and hope for the best.

Thanks.

Great news, We got the extension woot woot🎇

Now I have a couple of questions,
-is this valid for another 4 months?
-Do we need to pay the Visa fee again?
-Do we need to get all police clearances again?

Any help is greatly appreciate it.

sorry, not very familiar with the terms.

the NBI will be the police clearance?

Asking as my fiancé is leaving Singapore for goo on August and will be on Philippines until the Visa is issued, so getting a police clearance from Singapore on another date, will be complicated.

NBI is the Philippines National Bureau of Investigation, you’ll need a police clearance from them.

You’ll also need a police clearance from Singapore, and you may want to get that as you are leaving. That might be easier/simpler/cheaper.

Got to get the medical done before the Visa appointment. Having failed the TB test, among 320 others, at St. Loots we have to wait until three separate tests Sept 4,5,6 meaning three trips to Manila then wait until November for results.😵‍💫

ah alright, we got Singapore and Philippines in May, but ig is safer to get another now in August.

understood, we did one already on May as well, but will definitely get another in August to extend the "6 month" validity of it.

Police clearances are valid for one year.  The one from Singapore will never expire if she leaves and  never returns after receiving it

She did returned, but is leaving for good (her contract ended) on the end of August.

Also quick question the Interview window extension is valid for 4 months? we are planning to schedule the new appointment for sometime mid/late September, which put us around end of the 3rd month after the reactivation of her case was received .

They can extend for up to one year and typically do it in 4 month increments
