Hello - I am trying to get an understanding of the estimated time from I -130 Approval for a spouse of GC holder to getting an interview.

Two sources of Information is giving two different response - Few weeks

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

While step 3 in the link below shows very different timing ( I 130 with an NVC receive date... ) (312 days as of today 5/4).

The first link you've given doesn't mention anything about timeframes for interviews? But it will very much depend on your consulate, some you'll get an interview date within 3 months of being DQ'ed, other still have lengthy backlogs from Covid and you can wait a year or even two.

It can take two years to get an interview slot.   You haven’t provided adequate info for people to help you here.

As you know F2A category is no longer current on the visa bulletin. Apart from the consulate backlog, your priority date is not current. Right now cases filed in September 2020 are now becoming eligible to be invited to the interview. You’re looking at 4-6 years from filing to visa for F2A category.

Also the link you provided is for IR1/CR1 which are spouses of US citizens, they do not have limitations such as above.

Thanks! If I become a citizen, can I do something to expedite my application, since spouses of citizens' applications go faster. Thanks.

After the petition is approved and sent to NVC, you would send an inquiry to NVC with proof of US citizenship to upgrade the status to CR1 or IR1 (depending on length of marriage at the time).

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Morocco
Timeline

understand the F2 allows for derivates if there are any children

CR1  does not /separate petitions have to be filed if naturalization happens before the immigrant comes to USA

Thanks again! Few quick questions::

1. Is the priority for the sponsored spouse is based on the data of birth?

2. Where can I check if a certain priority for a country is current?

3. Where can I check the NVC processing time if the priority date is current?

4. Where can I check the waiting time for an interview for a specific consulate (Ankara, Istanbul)?

I really appreciate your help. Thanks a billion :)

Hello - Quick questions:

1. Is the processing Time for spouse sponsorship into the US the same for GC vs Citizen just for the I-130 Approval Part?

2. How can I check the processing time in NVC if the priority date is current? This is for the embassy in Ankara?

Thank you.

1. yes

2. there’s no way to check that

No way to readily check that. This is not posted by NVC/USCIS/consulate. You have to do self research, as in look up related threads or immigration timelines here on Vj that fit your situation (if there are any). Some people look for groups on FB to ask each others timelines
