We just got an RFE for missing W2's :(

But I am pretty the I-864 forms said that you only need to include them if you have carried out joint tax returns in the past or something like that?

Anyway, we have sent them now.

Euro has your case got to London yet?

Louise

Yes my case is in London, infact i just got an email from them telling me they had it and to email them back at the end of this week begining of next week & they should have a date for me!!

Excellent Amanda, let us know how you get on as soon as you have chance! GOOD LUCK - it will be fine

louandmikek,

The I-864 instruction says, among other things, "A copy of your complete Federal income tax return, as

filed with the Internal Revenue Service ..."

Also, go back to the place where you read about including W2s with joint tax returns and you won't find the word 'only' there.

Going on the basis of "something like that" is an invitation to a problem - the devil is often in the details.

pbgirl,

The 3rd question is a good one.

Yodrak

....

Has anyone ever been denied the CR-1? And if that did happen, what would you do? Can you come back to the US on the K3?

You're right. But to be fair, they don't make the instructions very clear do they? Oh well, I made it clear that I didn't know what I was on about. Lol.

Just to let you know i have got my CR1 interview its April 28th in London, & for informations sake............on the DS-230 i put my us address also did on the I-864 and London have mailed my interview pack to my US address!!

I know we all wondered about this, so hope you all find this information helpful!!

Thanks for the info, that was a burning question of mine

:star:

Amanda, another thing, please let us know the logistics of it all. Do you get your green card on the day of the interview or do they send it to an address in the UK where you are staying? Because you will need to come back on it, right?

How long did you book your UK visit for? My case has just been transferred to London and I was thinking I would arrive in London 2 days before the interview then travel up to Liverpool to stay for about 10 days. 2 weeks should do it.

Good luck once again!

I haven't been on the forum for weeks, hence all the comments!

Yes good point, so its a good idea to keep emailing your Consulate/Embassy to find out in advance, rather than just wait for the letter

Hi Euro and German Angel,

I'm glad you advised me to keep on emailing the London Consulate - I got an email saying that my appointment letter was sent to my US address on the 16th April (haven't got it...) and that my appointment is May 31st - yea! Now suddenly thought that my police certificate and medical info is slightly older than 6mths, but perhaps thats ok because I have been here on my k3 since november?

Anyway, once again good luck for the 28th Euro! Will you get your passport back that very day?
