Curious to ask, which option did you guys select and had success with? For us, I suppose being closer to a family member or members applies best, but U.S. job (take a new job or job transfer) may also apply. I just don't want to enter the family option if that would mean the move was voluntary and hence the EI claim may be denied?

What is your visa? I came on a spousal Visa the only answer that applied was to be closer to family (family reunification is absolutely acceptable) I qualified for 36 weeks of EI when I got here with no problems.

Answer truthfully as to why you are moving...that will depend on your visa catagory.

Hi everyone, 

I’m about to file my first report online. I already spoke to the interstate department that set me up last week and he said I should be able to file this weekend. 
 

what do you all put online when it asks if you’ve been out of Canada and the reason, when it’s asking the questions about your current reporting period?
