I am dealing with Sierra Leone , the 2. poorest country in the world and the infrastructure for phone companies are politically monopolized,

weak and in general terms just messed up.

The cheapest " true " call per minute is 20 cents. The advertised so called bargains are a joke like a card promising 1 hour 1/2 gives me 10 min.

in one call.

Even voip, skype etc. is high. The internet is constantly down, especially during the rainy season the signals are weak or non existent out in the provinces.

I lost my favorite carrier this year due to political games. They folded as a result of poor political decisions by the government.

We had very important issues to discuss and instead of the usual 5 min it ended up 20-30 or so thanks to AT&T at 57 cents per minute.

There are no cheaper "true" min than 20 cents per min out there for me. I had to use AT&T because there was a huge interruption again by the government due to elections and only AT&T got me connected. It was that or nothing.

I am so sick of this.

And rightly so, Sister! I am so sad to hear about this, on top of everything else you are going through.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
