Hey there!  We were approved on April 19th and they sent the appt date via email on April 24th. The interview is for June 26th. Weird thing I was not expecting….is that about 1.5 weeks ago they sent another email with a “pre-interview” interview for May 30th and said to bring all original documents to that appointment.  Which this is before his scheduled medical appointments but, they say that’s okay. I had not heard of anyone else going thru our Costa Rican embassy having a pre interview.

keep in touch on how your process goes!  Pura vida!

Hello! How did the pre-interview and interview go!? Quick question on Birth Certificate... do you know if your husband got his off of the internet website or went in person? Thanks!

Hi All! We were documentarily approved 6 weeks ago now and still have not received an interview date. It sounds like they are doing pre-interviews too now? Any words of advice? Anything we must absolutely have? I've got a huge binder full of everything, including additional letters of support from friends, photos, plane tickets, etc.

We just received an email to come for a pre-interview also. It was scheduled for the same day as my husband’s medical exam so he had to hurry and reschedule the medical and labs. Is everyone in Costa Rica doing a pre-interview? Is it only certain people? This is all so stressful.

Thanks so much!  I just sent my husband the I-864 and my tax transcripts for him to print. It said they wanted that but was kind of weird because I had read they don’t require the beneficiary to present the financial sponsorship documents. I will let you know what they tell him Tuesday. Hopefully you get a date soon.

Hi I was reading your message I have a question for you if you don’t mind answering I’m in the process of turning my wife’s paperwork in and I wanted to ask what did you have to show for I-864 paperwork and when did you have to show those items or can this part be done here in the states or does it need to be turned in during the interview in Costa Rica
