I got the FTP email with case number etc!!.. so happy!… can we begin the DS-160 before we have an interview date?… anything else we can do before the embassy contacts us that they officially have our case? (The FTP email says it could take a few weeks before they contact us… we are Bangkok, Thailand embassy btw)

thanks to all for your help! We see light at the end of the tunnel?  :)

Congratulations! When was your NOA2? Is your case "in transit" on CEAC now?
If so, you can definitely fill + submit DS-160. Take your time to review it all, all info must be valid at the time of the interview.
I am not sure how Bangkok works when it comes to embassy, reach out to other members there and see how it is. It's different for every embassy.

Congrats!. Yes go ahead and submit your DS-160 if you haven't done so already. This is also when my fiancé and I scheduled our medical/interview because it can take weeks to get the packet 4 notice. Plus, now that you have your case# you can track the status of your visa at ceac. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update. We had the interview today morning. Everything went well but, they asked for (3) more documents that we didn't have : form DS-5535, my fiance Resume and her flight ticket to US. They took her passport and asked us to email those documents. They stated as soon as they received those they will double check and issue her visa.

Hope they review it soon ...

Oh my, Saeid! I'm so so sorry! You waited so long!
Hope you get it issued soon and the AP doesn't last long.

*I am editing my comment because I mixed up forms here. Ignore it if you saw the old comment.*

The DS-5535 is what the doctor gives you at the medical,

The DS-5535 is a supplemental questionnaire for some visa applicants required by the Department of State.  It is not the medical form.

Oh, you are 100% correct. It all makes sense now and why they asked for her resume. I totally mixed it up with DS-3025. Thank you for correcting me!
