The public inquiry responded with my case number, but it said I will be notified once the case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General. I checked the status it says at NVC. What is the chance they will send my case tomorrow too?

The chances are high it will be sent out in this batch. Mine was created on 19 July  ... still showing at NVC .... I hope it will be sent out tomorrow. I sent our another inquiry last Sunday asking for it to be sent.

I sent the public inquiry on July 27th, early in the morning.

Thank you! We have inquired on the same day so I hope to hear good news either today or tomorrow.

Congrats on your case number and let's hope tomorrow is your day 🤞

@LindaBurke Hello. I just saw your profile name on one of the posts. I used to date a girl in high school named Linda Burke. How ironic. :)

How do I know if my case number is for the proper embassy?

Usually the first 3 letters of the case number are short for the embassy, MNL is Manila for example.

Here's a list of US embassies/consulates: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/list-of-posts.html

Hi All,

I just received my case number NOA2: 23/05.
But we got it in a strange way; we were talking to USCIS about a minor issue with the approval notice, and in their response, they gave us our NVC case number before NVC had contacted us directly lol. I'm going to send another inquiry soon and see what they say, but I checked the case # on NVC and it says "at NVC," so I'm not sure how long we'll have to wait until it gets to the embassy; I'll ask our attorneys, but I'm not complaining lmfao.

Hi,

Just an update, my fiancee got an email this morning from NVC saying our case was sent to the embassey and our status is now in tranist!!!

Hey all,

I just wanted to first thank everyone on here for being such an involved and helpful community! After 15 long months of waiting, our case has finally gotten a case number and is in transit to the embassy! However, I have a question that I can’t seem to find the answer to. A little background info about my case:

NOA1: 04/08/2022

NOA2: 05/18/2023

NVC Case Number: 08/02/2023 (today!)

Case Status: In Transit

Now onto my question: When are we supposed to send the affidavit of support, I-134, to the NVC for processing? Is this part of the DS-160 application, or do we have to schedule an interview before we send over the rest of the supporting documents?

Thanks for all your help and information; you all have made this process much easier!
