@Bh_sarah

Do you know if a US fiance(e) needs to send an original signed and filled I-134 or can it be just scanned and then printed? Because shipping will add 3 weeks.

Friends I just don't know at this point. It takes around 2 months for the case to arrive to the NVC, 1 month to process and it leaves us with just barely a month to prepare for the interview. How can we prepare everything before our packet expires?

The Visa service im using told me it was ok to send beneficiary a signed copy of the I-134. So after filling out the form, i printed it, signed it, then scanned it, and emailed my fiance the signed copy. They also said It has to be a signature written by hand and not an artifical one like you can do with adobe and other such products.

@Bh_sarah

I guess we will just fill it, sign in, print it and scan it. DHL is around $200 to just ship a single document, USPS is around $40 to $80. I guess when its time I will confirm with the embassy.

Im sure it will be ok. this may help put you at ease. In the I-134 instructions it says the following. Ive also attached the official instructions if you need them.

Never thought of checking the instructions! This is awesome, thank you. I’ve heard so many conflicting opinions on that (on VJ and on FB) and it seems people want to play on the safe side and then mail the form. Guess it’s not really that big of an issue if the instructions say that.

Yep. Same here, but USPS goes to my national mail courier in Brazil and they are famous for not delivering things or taking months. I’m glad we could have a better explanation with the instructions. If you do contact your embassy to confirm, let us know!

I totally understand. USPS is the same. Its like playing russian roulette. You send a package and pray it gets to destination and on time :)

hi! can you tell us how did you contact an agent at the USCIS. Did you talk to the agent by phone? If so what is the phone number you used?

Thanks...
