According to USCIS (Section B/3: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-4), affidavits are generally considered weak evidence. This is not limited to the I-751 form; if you review any of the USCIS REFs, you will see that affidavits are consistently mentioned as a last resort.

Thanks for the reference.  I found this sentence interesting:

"Affidavits that cannot be verified carry no weight in proving the facts at issue."

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

I’m over here absolutely panicking because I cannot remember signing the form to bill the debit card 😭

Hopefully it was signed. The worst case you're going to receive the packet back and can resubmit again. Out of curiosity, what made you pay with a debit card instead of personal check? You're paying cash either way and the latter is a better, time tried method.

We had no problems paying by card with his K1 (which was withdrawn later) or his I-130/I-485 when he adjusted status so we just went with what has worked before.

It just sucks because we really need the extension letter ASAP so he can renew his drivers license (which goes by the date of his EAD, not his green card unfortunately).

We can reprint/scan everything, all 500 freaking pages 😵💫. But I believe if I did forget to sign it, we will just be able to resend it with the correct fee?  This time I think we will use a check 😂

I just meant you could go through your copies and check whether you signed or not.

Oh no, I didn’t make copies of the G forms for payment or text/email notifications, etc unfortunately. Oh well. If we don’t get notification next week then we will know lol

Some people don't get notifications yet get receipt letter later. I wouldn't rely too much on it.
