Hello everyone! I am also one of the 2023 May fillers, and my applications were sent to Illinois via UPS on 5/8/ 2023.

I mailed out my application on 5/8/23 via UPS, and it shows the box was delivered on 05/11/2023. After this, I did not receive any update or message for my case, and my check is not deposited, either. Is this a potential problem? I feel very anxious especially see everyone here has received their confirmation very fast and get update or text message. Could anyone who also mail to Illinois share your timeline? Thank you very much, and any information is appreciated!

I also mailed my application to IL on 5/8/2023, but since then to now, I still haven't get anything back from them😭  Did your UPS Proof of Delivery show that it was left at front desk and received by a person's name starting with "M"?

There are some potential problems I can think of, but I don't think you should worry about those quite yet... Maybe someone else can weigh in, but I think you are still well within the normal time it takes USCIS to get moving...

That you very much for your kind words, and I just saw people who mailed out around the same time with me at the same location has already been updated, and meanwhile I have not heard anything back. Do you know how long is the normal time for receiving the confirmation?

No problem, I know it can be very frustrating! I don't have an exact time frame but have seen anything from a couple of days to two or three weeks! Patience is key, even if it's hard!

I don’t remember the name, but I do know it said it was left at the front desk.

Also, I think checks take a little longer to cash and then update,  so you are probably within normal times. If we didn’t have USPS informed delivery I would’ve never known the mail was coming today since they didn’t text or email.

So yesterday I received 2 letters in the mail... 1 was the online account number, and the other one was a letter to say that my biometrics will not need to be repeated and that USCIS won't be refunding the biometrics fee.  Made me giggle a little... it is what it is. :)

However.... I didn't receive an extension letter...should I expect this to come as well?

Yes. Probably in today's mail. A fatter envelope than the other two.

Removal of conditions

05-02-23 I-751 sent via FedEx.

05-03-23 I-751 delivered to USCIS address in Tempe AZ.

05-09-23 Check for $680 cashed.

05-15-23 Received I-797 NOA (48-month extension). A separate letter saying biometrics to be re-used. A third letter giving online access code.

Received the 48 month extension letter in the mail today, 5/20/23, from the California Service Center.

What I previously listed as the NOA was actually the online code and I couldn’t edit it.
