The problem is the embassy likes to use the words "refusal/refused" when they are unable to grant the visa YET, even if there is a chance that the visa will be granted once additional requirements are met (ex. additional documents, further TB treatment, etc). 

 

We see this from time to time on VJ. Many people see the words "refusal/refused" and automatically think all hope is lost. Not necessarily. It's when the embassy uses the term "denied" that things really get serious.

 

Good luck with the sputum testing. As you've seen from other members' experiences, your wife may get the visa yet.
