Which consulate will your parents be interviewing at? That will have a big impact on their overall time as the wait for an interview is much longer at some consulates. None will be a few days, the quickest is maybe about 3 months from being Documentarily Qualified to an interview, but some consulates still have huge Covid backlogs and have a wait of a couple of years to get an interview.
