K1: Packet 4 - Montreal Embassy

We are scheduled for our interview on May 30th and preparing our documentation. On the packet 4 email it says "Birth certificate (Petitioner and Beneficiary)". The Petitioner and Beneficiary part is in bold as well. In my research I did not see the beneficiary birth certificate being needed, I have included in my i-134 multiple years of tax documents, passport, bank statements, etc.

Is this a new requirement or is this a function of the packet 4 being used for multiple visa types? I can send one to her (I have almost a month) if needed but I wanted to check here first.

Thank you!
J

I believe it's a generic list. I did bring a copy of my petitioner's birth certificate (just in case) but was not asked for it at my interview. I haven't heard of anyone needing it.
