Less is more.

The more USELESS documents you send, the greater chance they will not understand wt h you are trying to show them and you'll be destined for RFE or two and even more confused.

As above, follow the instructions CAREFULLY and submit the exact documents that prove you meet the poverty guidelines for your household size.

No more, no less.

On USCIS official site it says to include w2's though. So I'm a bit confused by the conflicting answers given.

This is the checklist for form I-864

and I-864A

Read it again carefully. It says to include W2 IF you’re providing a copy of your federal income tax return. That is the entire return (1040, 1099), allll the pages of what you actually sent to IRS. That is not the tax transcript which is maybe 2-3 pages long.

Thank you very much for clearing that up. It can be a tricky for a non-native english speaker to understand and catch that.

I have requested copies of my tax transcripts from the irs website and they mailed them to me. I wasn't aware that a tax transcript and a tax return were 2 entirely different things.

I'm assuming that if I submit tax transcipts along with my I-864/I-864A then I do not need to include anything else such as pay stubs, w2's, etc? I'm about to mail off my AOS packet and just wanted to confirm one last thing.
