Hello all,

New to this forum, but I have a question, does the beneficiary's current country effect how quickly submitted I-129F forms are put in the system and sent NOA1s? I am seeing others that sent the form after me and gotten their NOA1 in 2 days and mine been already a week. I know the estimated time is 1-3 weeks to receive NOA1 but curious to see if this is a factor.

Thank you!

No.  They receive a cursory check, then they are entered into the system.  This is going to be a long, stressful journey.  Prepare yourself.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Just curious if there was anything that you can think of that would make it difficult for them to scan your package in?

For example, did you have a lot of staples, did you include binders, folders, or laminated items, or a lot of odd size paperwork other than standard 8x11 size paper plus passport size photos? How many pages was your package?

Nope. None of that. I actually had them all with paper clips. It was the form + All the initial evidence documentation. I had about 20 photos. Not sure if that caused any issues.

Did you include form G-1145 e-notification?

Hopefully you paid with a personal check to see if they cashed your check yet?  My NOA1 came in 2 days and I saw my personal check was cashed immediately as well. But that was months ago.

For the photos to prove you met within 2 years, did you write the names, location and date on each photo?

Yes, I did include the form. Unfortunately, I did Money order 😕 I checked with the bank yesterday and saw it hasn't been cashed.  For photos, I did everything you listed on each one. I am just thinking maybe it could be because of country?

Sounds good, its out of your control at this point. So just try to forget about it, and let time fly by quickly.  The USCIS mailroom processsing is totally independent of the country of the beneficiary,. But if you can find proof of otherwise with your friends in the same country, then that would be interesting as no one here really knows all the USCIS secrets.

In what way does this make sense?  The lockbox that receives and unbundles the packets, and processes payments is in no way looking at any detail about the packet, such as beneficiary's country or whether you're eligible.  That comes like 15 months later, when the petition is adjudicated.

The lockbox is simply making sure that the forms used are current and that the payment is correct.

Okay it was an innocent question so I appreciate a normal response. Again, had to ask.

Crazy Cat answered initially, and you still seemed to think it could be because of beneficiary's country, so that's why I was expanding on why it is not.

You're in for a long journey, might as well buckle up and learn as much as you can about the processes involved

Figured out the issue - Apparently I added an Electronic Debit form with a check  but the form was not filled I just thought we had to add it either way. So I resent my application in today. Thanks for all the help
