It was announced a few months ago...but wow, I guess they're going to pretend Ang Lee's version never existed.

...

"Edward Norton is a rare talent and one of the most versatile actors in the business. His ability to transform into a particular role makes him the ideal choice to take on the character of Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Edward is perfectly suited to bring one of the most popular and important Marvel icons to the big screen in a new and exciting way," said Kevin Feige, President of Production, Marvel Studios.

Under the visionary direction of Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2, Unleashed), The Incredible Hulk will return to the roots of the long-running comic series and television show.

The story unfolds when the pursuit for The Hulk - the world's most misunderstood, primal force of fury - heats up, finding Bruce Banner on the run attempting to cure his condition before his pursuers capture him.

i thought Bana did a good enough job..

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The Bana movie (nothing on him) was HORRIBLE. I've never felt so bored and wanting to sleep in an action movie, really.

I like the Spidey movies, but overall, this whole new let's make movies out of comics thing has resulted in really flat, superficial, crappy movies.

The problem with the Ang Lee movie is that they never really delved into the mythology of the character. In that respect The Hulk is a pretty difficult character to realise, perhaps one of the most complex marvel characters there is - mainly because The Hulk persona is literally Bruce Banner's alter-ego, not like Spiderman where its basically the same guy wearing a mask. The Hulk isn't exactly a hero either - more like a wild beast.

They also recently cast Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky (AKA The Abomination) which is the favourite fan-villain. The Ang Lee movie screwed that up too - making the villain an amalgamation of several Hulk villains, none of which were true to the comic.

Interesting. I actually liked the 70's show where I really could empathize with Bill Bixby's character, haunted by events of when he tried to save his wife from the burning car but failed. When he turned into the Hulk, it was like he was losing control of his emotions which was something he believed prevented him from saving his wife, but now those emotions were taking control of him. I think there's a lot of potential for making that into a good film, but I'm not so sure about the choice of Director for this one.

Transporter 2 sucked. Transporter was better though.

I like Ed Norton.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Yup, it was the script that sucked.

He used to be in King Of Queens for a while. He's aged really well actually.

This is Lou in 2003. I'm thinking he probably hasn't used steroids for awhile now. I don't think many could live after 30 years of steroid use.

He still looks muscular...just not HULKY. :P

The reason they are doing this is not because the first one sucked, but Marvel is taking over film production of movies based on their properties. They want a bigger cut of the pie that the distributors and movie studios were getting.
