You indicate CR-1 if married less than 2 years, and IR-1 if married more than 2 years.

If at the time of visa interview you have been married 2 years, indicate this to the consular officer, and they will code the visa IR-1.

If you celebrate your second redding anniversary between getting the CR-1 visa and entry to the USA, just tell the officer at the POE when entering the USA this and they will code the Green-Card to be a 10 year unconditional one.

Your timeline indicates you've been married less than a year. IR1 visas are only granted when the marriage is two years or more.

true i got it now thanks gusy u gusy are awsome and very prompt replies

Just to reassure you further, there's no difference between the privledges she will receive on her green card. The only difference is that 90 days or less before her two-year green card expires, you will have to apply to remove conditions (I-751 form).

Wait, wait, wait, wait... does this mean that you MAY get an IR-1 after all even if you have been married less than two years? We've been married 1 year and 2 months so far and I counted that around my interview we've been married for 1 year and 5 months. Is there thus a possibillity that I would get an IR-1 visa after all? I mean, I would be happy with less paper work and fees of course :). I would like to hear of someone who has actually gotten an IR-1 visa, before they've been married for two years, other vice i refuse to believe in it :P.
