My husband and I live in Brooklyn, and every civil surgeon that we've called won't do the I-693a supplimental form for less than $300! Ack! Do you think it's just the receptionists not knowing what they're talking about? Should we go to medical anyway and bring printouts of instructions and "hope" they lower the price at the medical, or ...??

Better yet, can someone reccomend a CS who will do it for $50 or less in the Brooklyn or Manhattan area???

Thanks!

i had my full medical done by Dr Anthony Blau in Manhattan and he seemed to be very understanding so perhaps you could give his office a call and see what they would charge just for the supplement

Call around and explain firmly that you only need the supplement done, not full medical.

I had to actually visit an office and show the doctor the I-485 instructions, and he then understood and agreed to do it for $35.

The person answering the phone does not understand K-Visas and will just quote the fee for full medical.

If this is your only hold up for filing AOS, just send it in without. The I-485 clearly states you MAY send in the supplement, it does not say you have to include it. You may get an RFE for it, or you may be requested to bring it to the AOS interview.

It was a page many links. The one you said was posted a year ago so I don't think it's too far off to raise the price in a year. Also, you said $50 or less, and last time I checked, $40 is less......?

You are required to submit the I-693A when filing the I-485, whether you choose to delay your application by not including it is your choice.

Dude, it's cool. I wasn't complaining. $40 is fine.
