Finally!!!  We have our Manila Embassy Interviews scheduled.  My questions now are basic, just want to Triple Check the process.  We signed up to have my wife’s and 2 stepchildren’s Visas delivered to our home here in metroManila.  While the delivery address is confirmed on our Interview Conformation Email from the Embassy we haven’t paid for the delivery service yet unless it was already included in other fees we paid.  How does this payment get made?  Additionally, I thought I read there was another charge of $220 each for the Visa’s.  If that’s correct how, where do I pay that fee?

many thanks, Marc

I too am interested in the answer to the courier question 🙋🏻‍♂️   Thanks!

Courier is free if you go pick them up at a LBC office. Probably faster and more reliable too. If you have them delivered to your house its ₱440 per passport, paid by cash directly to the delivery person when they deliver.

The $220 Immigrant fee you pay after you receive the visas.  Here https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee/  The embassy will e-mail instructions too.

The $220 fee is for the plastic green card production, not the visas.  Only option is to pay online through the USCIS site.

Forgive me but do the children, my stepchildren, receive Green cards at 6 and 9 years old or just my wife?  So is the charge $220 X 3 totaling $660 or just one charge of $220?

Last question.  Do the children attend the interview?  I read where Derivatives under age 14 do not but they aren’t Derivatives, are they?

CR/IR2 children need to attend.  My 9 y/o stepdaughter had to attend the interview. They didn't ask her much but her presence was required.

We just received notification from the NVC that my Stepsons interview for June 7th was cancelled.  No reason, no explanation.  My wife and stepdaughter are scheduled at the same time for my Stepdaughter and an hour later for my wife.  We called the Embassy help desk today and didn’t get an answer.  I went online to the NVC question portal and inquired as to what was going on.  Any thoughts?

Log back into https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ and check if it still shows as scheduled.  At various times in the past other people have received "appointment canceled" e-mail's that turned out to not be valid so it's a known bug in their system.  More than likely it's a false message but it would be important to verify that.  I would think the Embassy help desk should be able to verify you still have an appointment though.

Unsurprisingly top_secret appears to be correct again!  We logged in as you directed and my Stepsons appointment is still showing.  I viewed the Appointment History and it is as it was when we first scheduled the Appointment.  Thank you for sharing your knowledge.  Your feedback is incredibly helpful and alleviates unnecessary worry.  Thank you and other top tier members who share their time and institutional knowledge.

May I ask how old the kids are?

My stepdaughter was 17 when we started her IR2 but we have been postponing.  She will probably be 19 when she interviews.  I'm wondering if my wife will be allowed to attend the interview with her.
