Please help! I am engaged to a beautiful woman from the Philippines, and I did not find this web site until after I sent in the Fiancee Visa application packet. I visited her in June 2007, and I then completed and sent in the Fiancee Visa application the end of June 2007. My fiancee and I completed the G325 (Biographic Information) form together just before I left to return to the United States. We did not see the G325A form on the web site. In my haste to get the process started, I sent in the G325 form for my fiancee which she signed, and I completed the G325A for myself. I only sent in one copy of each form. The packet was sent registered mail, and I received the notice card back from the post office indicating that the Texas Service Center signed for the packet on July 13, 2007. I have still not received the NOA1 yet and my check has not cleared yet. I now understand that I will receive a RFE request for evidence once the process starts which will delay the approval by 2 to 3 months. My questions is: Can I cancel the first packet and just send in a new packet with a new check containing all the correct forms and evidence? I am prepared to pay the $170 twice if it means that I will save the 2 to 3 extra months of waiting for my fiancee to be approved to come the US. Please let me know what options I should consider. Thank you for your help.

I don't know if it will delay it that long, just get the correct forms signed and ready as soon as an RFE comes, if it comes. I have read some threads and they have said they dont always use all the copies? I may be wrong but I would wait and see if you get an RFE or not. I am sure USCIS is backed up a little right now so give the NOA another week or so.

If I understand you correctly you did send one signed copy of a G325a for each of you. (You say only G325 for fiance but I don't know there is such a thing.)

If that's all you're concerned about I think you should just sit tight. You're supposed to send 4 but anecdotal evidence I've seen reported is that sending just one has no negative consequence whatsoever.

There is a G325 as well as a G325A out there - and they look similar.

Best bet is definitely to just sit tight and see when/if you get an RFE. You may not - stranger things have happened. But if you do, it probably won't add as much time to the process as trying to cancel things and start over.
